The machine will not start. You hit the power button in comes on, but when you press the start button -- nothing happens. You can hear the clicking while pressing it - but it doesn't start drying.

When I press on the start button, I hear a noise but the dryer is not spinning, could it be the belt or something else. Waiting

if the drum is belt drivin, then its a good possibility thats what it is. the noise that you hear may be the motor spinning.

Dryer doesn't start or blow air, how can I test parts to determine what needs replaced?

Hi there

Have a look around the motor for a yellow or silver tube like object with wires attached to one end .

if you see one of these "be very Carefull if you are not confident working around live electricity get a man in to do it"

start the dryer and then physically give the drum a push if it starts to spin what you require will be the start capacitor plenty of places online to buy spare from and easy to fit.

Dryer will not start

There is a start relay on the computer control board. You probably hear a very dull click. That click is the relay on the computer board trying to engage, but it won't and therefore your dryer won't spin and your board sends a beep and perhaps an "E11" error code to the LED display (Not sure on Kenmores.).

In plain english, you have a bad control board now and will have to replace it. Cost about $130.
