Question about Baumatic Dishwashers

1 Answer

Hi there, The error code 'strong and economy light flicker fleetly' is showing. the manual says that this means too much inlet water. We have drained the machine, cleaned waste pipe and tried to operate with a reduced flow from the inlet pipe but it's still not working. I filled the base of the dishwasher with water to see if it drains properly. It seems to be draining, but also leaking out of the base as well..? Any ideas?.

Hi, Thanks for you're advice. I'm not at all familiar with the workings of dishwashers... will the float assembly be obvious to find? How easy would it be to open up the dishwasher's tub?

Hi

The issue seems to be with the float switch assembly that is bad and should be replaced. Float assembly is found inside the dishwasher's tub, on the bottom. The water that fills your dishwasher lifts the float, and when it reaches a certain level, it acts as a trigger for the float switch. The float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher. A defective switch may interfere with your dishwasher's filling and/or draining ability. Use your voltmeter to test the switch. Set the device to the ohms setting x 1. Take each probe and touch them to one switch terminal each. This should produce a reading of either zero or infinity. Continue to touch the probes to the terminals, and press down on the switch's button. The reading should change to the opposite extreme. If your switch fails either of these tests, you should replace it. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

You have to take the bottom front panel to check the float assembly

What does error code ie indicate?

IE error mostly means not filling completely with water or very slow fill

HOW DO I STARTS MY WASHING MACHINE AGAIN CAUSE IT ALWAYS `IE` ERROR EVEN I ALREADY CLEAN THE FILTER,CHECK HOSE,THIS ERROR HAPPENS WHEN SOMEONE USE IT MANUAL WHEN NO WATER IN SERVICE,I MEAN HE MANUALLY

The IE or E1 error or fault code indicates that the washer is not filling with water. Check to be sure the water supply valves are open. Also, check to be sure the water supply hoses aren't kinked or clogged. Next, remove the hoses from the washing machine and run water into a bucket to test the pressure and flow of the water. If all of these check out and you have good water pressure and flow to the machine, you should replace the water inlet valve
If you are trying to use the machine manually, there needs to be enough water in the machine to tell the level sensor when to switch off the water inlet solenoid valve. Failing this, the machine will only show IE (Inlet Error) and refuse to work.

Why do i have low water pressure into the washer - error code ie?

if you can hear full water flow into the appliance then it could be that the pressure switch is faulty, the pressure tube has a hole in it or has disconnected from the switch. IE or "inlet error" means that the appliance has failed to register the water level after a predetermined time.

F20 error code

Hi.

F20 means that there is a water inlet problem:

Reasons for error F20:
(Water Inlet Problem-no water or insufficient
water supply) Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle
Unplug washer or disconnect power.

Check the following:
Are water faucets completely turned on?
Are screens at inlet hose connection to washer
clogged? Are water inlet hoses kinked? Are water inlet hoses frozen?

If that does not help inlet valve, pressure switch and control module must be tested. The defective part must be replaced.

Here the tech sheet.

Regards.

Showing F01 error code on readout? what does that mean?

Hi.

It depends on the model. On Whirlpool built machines F01 is EEPROM error, pump drive error, or main relays error.

With Hotpoint F01 means defective triac or defective motor.

Hi I have an LG LD - 14AW23 dishwasher. It shows an IE error (no water) but it fills, stops and then gives the error message. What's thye problem? Many thanks, John

Hi

Error code IE on LG dishwasher means Inlet error. This error comes up when the Water Supply Tap is closed or Water Supply is shut off. If water supply is turned on then make sure that the Inlet Hose is not kinked and water Pressure is not low (should be above 10 psi). Next thing to check for is Water Inlet Valve, measure the electric resistance of Inlet Valve. (950-1300 ohms) Make sure the filter of Inlet Valve is not clogged.

Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

My Kenwood Dishwasher shows an E4 error code

Howdy:) An E4 or E5 error indicate an abnormal water level which means too much inlet water. Here is the shortcut to the Kenwood PDF file with the user's manuals.
http://dl.owneriq.net/4/4e71b4c9-e100-4066-a29e-9c46abc1f5cf.pdf

You can cut and paste it into your browser's address window. Your model was not indicated in your message, but the error codes are standard throughout the Kenwood models. I hope you find this useful:)

Error message F-10

Hi

Error Code F10 means Pressure switch not sensing correctly. Plesae check for the inlet water pressure. If water pressure is OK then there is an issue with the water inlet valve or pressure switch. Make sure the pipes aren't kinked or clogged. Please post back for any further assistance.

I got an NF code today when I went to do laundry. We recently had a three day power outage and have sediment from the well still coming through our pipes. Could this be clogging the fill line? How do I...

NF means "not filling". This means that either there is no water getting to the machine or it's at too low a pressure.

Given the information regarding sediment it strongly suggest that the water inlet filter is blocked. Although I'm unfamiliar with your exact model, you will usually find that when you unscrew the flexible inlet hose from the spigot on the back of your machine there will be a gauze filter inside the spigot. Remove and clean it and consider fitting an in-line external hose filter to the inlet hose. Before refitting the inlet hose, ensure that there is a good strong water flow through it.

If I've made the correct diagnosis you should find that the code has gone when you reconnect your washer and turn to both the water and power supplies and turn it on once more.

If not, then please report back for alternative suggestions.

Drying

The E10 error code means - not filling water.
The problem could be because of clogged filters on the water inlet line or a malfunction inlet valve.
Also there is still some water inside accumulated so please do check the filter for blockages. To avoid other errors check the outlet valve and the filter as a precaution.
Good luck with the machine. Please do rate my solution. Also do post comments for further help if needed.
