In order to access the control panel in the service position, disconnecting the lid switch harness, prying the two cabinet retainer clips off and tilting the cabinet forwards and walking it away from the washer. I added three images below to reference for instructions. Note: Your console will look different than the one in the second image, but the procedure is the same for releasing the console from the top. Note: Be sure to disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing your washer.
