I have a slight yellowing in the center of my screen. We recently replaced the map, and have tried adjusting all picture settings but the yellow patch remains. It's a Sony Grand Wega, by the way.

Don't know if the DLP tvs have a Deguassing coil, inside it bazel frame.Take ur tv aparts check, see if u have big coil rapping with ectrical tapes fit inside ur bazel frame of ur tv.If yes,the componnents parts that make the coil work it dead. This coil demagnictize for the tv tube first turn. All regular small CRT tube tvs '30 inches and down have this dequassing coil inside it bazel frame.

My cat walked across my computer and now I can barely read the script on my screen.

There is a inverter which sits below the lcd.Chances are this is unpluged and not broken.Remove all power source from the computer. On the face of the lcd is a bazel .You will need to remove the plastic caps that cover the screws. When you remove them put them in a safe spot as you will need to replace them once you are finished.Remove the screws gently pry the bazel from the lcd careful not to break it.Below the lcd is a small circuit board called a inverter board chech the cable it might have poped out.
Good luck

How do you tighten the hinges for a gateway 7324 laptop? The cover has a few inches of play and sometimes the screen flickers. Is it repairable or must the hinges be replaced?

Remember before you do any work to remove the battery and the power supply. You will have to remove the Lcd Bazel. There should be some rubber covers over the screws on the bazel.Remove and put them in a safe place as you will have to replace them.Once you have removed the screws use your finger to gently pry away the bazel.Look towards the base you will see the screws tighten them and this should take care of it.
good luck

Replacing control board

There are two screews onder the shield. You need to get level with the shield to see them. Remove the two screews and it should come off no problem. Now to get in to the controll panel you have to pull the oven out and there are two screews on the back in both top corners to get in side to the control board. Good luck
