Try following solutions, if it works for you

To switch between speakers and headphones on Firefox,
make sure your headphones are plugged in first,
Right click on volume on the bottom right corner of your screen,
Then select Volume Mixer,
then double click on System sounds,
Click on the playback tab,
then you could switch between speakers or headphones, just select one and click "set default" and OK
only sounds in firefox will play in the headphones,
and windows media player will play on the speakers

You could leave your windows media player to play on the speakers while you listen to firefox videos in the headphones

If you want the media music player to play in your headphones also;
You have to change it in the media player program,
go to options on the media player, then look for playback devices, there should be 2 options speakers and headphones,
just pick one

I usually set the firefox audio to my headphones,
and a media player to the speakers

My volume is to low

Your computer should have a little speaker icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen on the taskbar. Click on it and check to make sure that volume slider is set to the maximum volume.

Also check the media player program that you are using for a seperate volume control since most players like Windows Media Player or VLC Media Player will also have their own dedicated volume control somewhere right on the media player window itself. So just make sure this second volume control is also set to maximum.

Otherwise that may simply be as much as your built in laptop speakers are able to achieve. Very few laptops will have loud high performance speakers built-in. Most people simply buy an aftermarket external powered speaker system to plug into the headphone jack of their laptop if they want / need loud high quality sound.

Here are some links to a few models of external powered computer speaker systems that are currently available on EBay:

Just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and blue highlighted section of text just above.

This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information and items at the website indicated.

Where can i download window player for toshiba dynabook t4/495cce driver

Hi,

Thank you for choosing FixYa! Regarding your concern for a media player download, I advise to get the VLC media plyer instead. Why? Because VLC has the most codecs a media player could offer to play all types of audio and video formats. Follow the instructions below.
  1. Click on the link http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
  2. Click on "Installer Pack"
  3. On the next page, wait for the download prompt to come up and click on Run (for Internet Explorer Browser) or Save file (for Mozilla Firefox Browser).
  4. Wait for the download to complete and play any audio or video file.
There are cases where a media player displays distorted videos. That is because of missing codecs. With VLC you have nothing to worry about. I am using this, so as a technician I highly recommend you to try it. Thank you for choosing FixYa! Enjoy!

I'm not getting any sound through my browser, but I can get sound from my zune player.

NO SOUND IN FIREFOX This article identifies several causes (and solutions) of No Sound in Firefox.
Before using the instructions in this article, make sure other applications on your computer can play sounds. If Firefox is the only application that you can't hear, continue to the troubleshooting steps below.
If you want Firefox to make a "click" sound effect when you click on a link, and to use other small sound effects like Internet Explorer does when you browse web pages, try the Navigational Sounds extension.

WINDOWS VISTA VOLUME MIXER
  1. Open Firefox and visit a site that should play sound.
  2. Click the volume icon in the Windows task bar.
  3. Click Mixer. The Volume Mixer window will appear.
  4. Make sure the Firefox slider is not at the bottom
FLASH BASED VIDEOS OR MEDIA LACK SOUND
If you're only having trouble hearing sound from pages that use Flash for video and audio (such as YouTube), you may be experiencing a problem with the Flash plugin. Follow the instructions in the Flash-based videos and sound do not play correctly article.

NON STANDARD CODE
Websites made using FrontPage add background music to webpages using non-standard code.
  1. At the top of the Firefox windowOn the menu bar, open the Tools menu, and select Page Info. The Page Info window will open.
  2. If there is a line in the Page Info window saying "GENERATOR Microsoft FrontPage ...", contact the webpage author.

OTHER PLUGINS Most web page sounds are made through plugins. For these sounds to work, you need to have the correct plugin installed. If a plugin isn't installed, you'll normally see a puzzle piece icon and Firefox will show a yellow bar telling you that you need to install the plugin.
See the Popular plugin article for links on how to install various plugins, including QuickTime, Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, and more.

PLUGIN VOLUME CONTROLS
Some plugins have their own volume controls. Check for a volume control directly on the plugin or in the right-clickCtrl+click menu.

Will it harm my laptop to listen to music on it every night all night?

No, it will not harm your laptop, it might harm your ears if you listen to it too loud through headphones. The only possible damage could occur if you listen through the laptops speakers, too loud and constant would adversly wear out the speakers.

Sound to low

Go to settings -->Common settings --> AVLS (volume limit) turn it off. Back out to music settings and --> equalizer --> go to custom 1 -- edit and turn all the sliders to the top. Thats as loud as it will get. Head phones do make a difference - look for the lowest Ohms you can afford. I like the Sony or the Sandisk product, not as confined as an Apple. but the Apple is louder.

When i open any songs or videos on internet i cant hear anything no sound but when i am listening to songs and videos in my computer its working so please help me

Hi, The problem that you are facing is a grave issue as it is related to internet browser itself. All you will have to remember the video website that you have been through recently and check where you have muted the sound. The situation that you are in currently is dealt like this only as muting sound on a website effects all other video or audio websites on your internet browser. However you can try resetting internet browser to manufacturer's default to check it further. Resetting Internet Explorer is easy. Open Internet Explorer > Tools Menu> Internet Options> Advanced tab> Reset. If you are using Firefox, open Start Menu>Run and then type "firefox -safe-mode" without quotes and reset firefox completely.
Hope that resolved your issue.
Cheers!
