No access to scanner: same error : suggesting a changed login/ account situation ( under investigation)

    MFS 1118 - scanner/copy/printer is connected to a non-dedicated server

FS1118 scanning issue - this may sound like a long process but its easy...

Just create a folder called scans in your c:/ drive right click and share the folder

Go to the kyocera command centre (type the ip address of the machine into your browser, taking note your machine must be networked)

Once in kyocera command centre

Click on basic

on the left menu select address book, contacts

create a new contact and under SMB

only insert your computers IP address in the host field

and insert the file name scans in the path field.

Click submit...

Once complete go to your machine

insert a page to scan, select the send button

press the address key

select the contact you created

select ip address press enter

now press 2 on the keypad

press enter

press 2 again

enter again

and then press the green start button once complete..

The scanned document will appear in the scans folder

Error code 1102 pretty much the same across all kyocera based machines i think. Normally means that the MFD cannot find the outgoing mail server, hostname etc. Compare TCP/IP setup with that of LAN. Check firewall/security settings on mailserver/host.

My kyocera FS1118 MFP displays C6400 error. Can you help me?

C6400 indicates that the engine board is not recieving the correct signal.

I would suggest that you turn off the machine and ensure that the cable that runs from the document feeder at the top rear of the machine into the connector on the rear of the machine (if fitted) is securly tightened.

You can also try turning the machine off at the wall for 10 minutes.

If this fails you will need to call out a technician.
