Something is not quite right. Double check everything...loose needle, plug ins, threading, bobbin area for loose threads, etc.

Keep in mind that you've jostled the machine moving it from the service to your home. It could be as simple as the bobbin race being out of alignment. If nothing you do works... take it back and give the the person who serviced it the "look." and make him/her fix it.

Testimonial: "thank you so much for your help. I had checked the bobbin and casing, I even changed the needle. I have taken the machine back to the technician;"

My Elna 6003 stops and say: stop for safety reasons. What am I to do?? Please help.

Probably best to take it for service. It has stopped due to a safety issue that could be dangerous to you or the machine.

My Elna 6005 just stopped everything went blank no power no lights no nothing what could be wrong?

No, should not have a fuse. Just plug in the cord carfully into the machine again. Make sure the wall socket has power first.
Could be that the foot pedal is burned out if it has been used a lot. But that is not too likely.

My 6003 Elna machine stop and says stop for safety purposes How do I get it unlock from that It wont do anything

This is usually what happens if the bobbin case gets dislodged, its just held in place by a magnet but if you have a jam up, often gets moved out of position. Remove top metal plate, take out bobbin, and have a look at the bobbin case, should be two metal markers or red dotsmfront side that align. Lift the case out by grasping edge and lifting up and towards you, clean underneath with the little brush, remove any jammed up threads, then return case to position, aligning the marks.

Where do I get new feed dogs for the heirloom 6005? The current one does not pick up the fabric right, and I have to push it in with a seam ripper.

Are you sure the feed dogs are faulty, its more likely that they are full of fluff or need resetting if they are moving too low. Is your needle plate correctly installed too, if it is sitting up a bit high it will mean the feed dogs arent coming through the holes at the correct height.

I did buy a machine like this recently, owner said it did'nt sew. The needle plate was fitted upside down, 30 second fix!

If you don't have a repairer you know of in your area, then start with the Elna website, go to your country, then "Dealers" and locate your local Elna dealer.

I was sewing a little heavier material the machine stopped a said to go no further for safety issues. I have re-threaded machine, changed needed and cleaned out the bobbin case. the machine still refuses...

Have you lifted out the bobbin case and replaced it in position? These cases are held in position with a magnet and sometimes will dislodge and turn a little which then causes the error message.

Your manual should cover lifting the case out and putting it back in - it will lift out towards you and goes back in matching up a marker on the case and the stopper in the holder.

Stop for Safety Purposes ?

I have had this happen to me many times. It really does feel as though the problem is in the bobbin, but it's not. After much aggrivation I took it into the repair shop and found out the thred was comming unhooked on the top not in the bobbin. It still happens all the time but I know what it is now so I just rethred the top.
