How do I connect my Logitech wireless mouse to my computer

I use Logitech wireless mice and so does my wife. After a battery change you have to reconnect the mouse with the wireless receiver
. First push the button on the receiver, then push the button on the bottom of the mouse. It should connect and you will be ready to go. If this doesn't get the mouse working, you may have to unplug the mouse, then plug it back in the USB port, then reconnect to the receiver. Hope that helps.

Hi -- My problem with the Logitech wireless mouse is not working at times. Changed batteries and hit the reset button. thanks. Elaine

Check your USB port. There may be a light on the dongle (the part that plugs into the USB.
Is the light on? If you know this is working and you have changed batteries the mouse should work. Try the other USB port as an alternative.

Plz help me i want connect wire less keybroad and mouse thnksvjtawale2gmail.com

There are 4 possible ways in my awareness...
Method 1: Resynchronize your device with the receiver To resynchronize the mouse or the keyboard with the receiver, follow these steps. Note When you synchronize the mouse or the keyboard with the receiver, put the device near the receiver and put any other wireless keyboards and mouse at least 6 feet away.
  1. Press the button on the receiver, and then verify that the light on the receiver starts to blink.

Note Some newer Microsoft devices are permanently bound to their receiver and cannot be reset. If your device does not have a button, skip to Method 2.
  2. If a dialog box appears on the screen in several seconds, follow the instructions that appear on the screen. Otherwise, go to the next step.
  3. Press and release the Connect Channel button on the bottom of the mouse or the keyboard.
  4. Check the green light on the receiver. A steady green light means the synchronization was successful. If the problem persists, try steps 1 through 4 again.
  5. For the Wireless Notebook mouse: This issue can occur if the micro-switch on the bottom of the mouse is not released. Use a pin or a pen to try to release the button if it is depressed.
The following example shows the buttons to push to synchronize a wireless hardware device:

Receiver Bottom of the mouse: The connect channel button Different kind of receiver Collapse this imageExpand this image 838398_receiver.jpg Collapse this imageExpand this image 838398_mouse_bottom.jpg Collapse this imageExpand this image 838398_portable_receiver.jpg Method 2: Try different portsTo determine whether the problem is related to the ports on the computer, use only the two cables that are included with the wireless desktop receiver, or the single cable that is included with a mouse. USB keyboard and USB mouseIf the USB cable is currently connected to a USB hub, disconnect the device from the hub, and then connect it to a USB port on the computer. If your device is already connected to a USB port on the computer, try to connect the device to a different USB port if one is available.

Note Only one USB connection to the computer is required, even if your device has two USB plugs. If the problem persists, disconnect other USB devices and connect only the USB plug from the receiver to a USB port on the computer. PS/2 devices Warning If you have to change a PS/2 connection, shut off the computer, make the changes, and then restart the computer. Do not plug a PS/2 device into the PS/2 port while the computer is running. If your devices are connected to PS/2 ports on the computer, verify that you have the following configurations:
  • Verify that the USB plug for your mouse is connected to the green USB-to-PS/2 adapter and that this adapter is plugged in the mouse PS/2 port on the computer. The mouse PS/2 port on the computer may also be green. If you are not sure which PS/2 port is the mouse PS/2 port, see the documentation that was included with the computer.
  • Verify that the USB plug for the keyboard is connected to the purple USB-to-PS/2 adapter and that this adapter is plugged in the keyboard PS/2 port on the computer. The keyboard PS/2 port on the computer may also be purple. If you are not sure which PS/2 port is the keyboard PS/2 port, see the documentation that was included with the computer.
If you have to change your configuration, shut down the computer, make the changes, and then restart the computer. If your mouse or keyboard has both USB and PS/2 connections, try using the other connection. PS/2 keyboard and USB mouseIf you are using a wireless mouse with a USB connector and a PS/2 keyboard, verify that the USB mouse is plugged in a USB port on the computer and that the purple keyboard PS/2 plug is connected to the purple PS/2 port on the computer. If you have to change the PS/2 connection, shut off the computer, make the changes, and then restart the computer. Method 3: Reinsert the batteries or install fresh batteriesBoth the wireless keyboard and the wireless mouse rely on AA alkaline batteries for power. Remove the batteries, and then insert them again. If the problem persists, install a fresh set of batteries in the device that you are having problems with. Method 4: Check for interferenceItems such as wireless routers, radios, cell phones, desktop fans, fluorescent lights, and large metal objects like computer cases and metal furniture may interfere with the signal of the keyboard. Try to keep such items away from the keyboard, and check the behavior of the keyboard.

Do not put the mouse or the receiver near any electrical devices, especially transmitters such as cordless or cellular telephones or other wireless mouse devices or receivers. A distance of at least 8 to 12 inches is recommended. Do not put the mouse or the receiver on metallic surfaces or objects, especially long metallic rails or cables. We recommend that you keep the mouse and the keyboard a minimum of 3 feet from metallic objects.

I bought a Saitek wireless notebook mouse PM45 yesterday but cannot make it work. I have tried it on 2 different computers. The lights and on and off button seem to function but the screen arrow does not...

1. Plug the wireless receiver in to one of your PC's USB ports.
2. Press the button on the receiver for two seconds so that the green light
flashes.
3. Press the button on the underside of the mouse once (short press).
4. Wait for the mouse to connect to the receiver. If the connection fails, press
the button on the underside of the mouse once more to continue scanning
(the connection will normally be made on the first press).
The whole process should take less than 10 seconds.
if the mouse refuse to connect check the battery and the power button of the mouse...and also you can try to change the USB port of the receiver ..

Wireless Logitech mouse with NO connect button on it. Only buttons on it are Power and Reset (and one to open battery case). Cannot figure out how to connect to receiver. Was previously connected, but I...

Ok, try this in the steps ordered
1 remove the receiver from the USB port
2 remove the battery from the mouse
3 turn on the pc
4 after everything is loaded on the pc, plug the mouse receiver into the USB port
5 put the battery back in to the mouse and let it "find" the receiver.
If these steps don't work, try doing the steps and use a different USB port. If that doesn't work try a different battery in the mouse.
If none of this works and the receiver hasn't been bent (happens allot in laptops), then it sounds like your mouse took a dump.

Try putting the receiver in another USB port on your computer. If it still doesn't light, push the button on the receiver and the reset button underneath the wireless mouse (you might need a pen/pin to do this) for approximately 10 seconds at the same time. The receiver and the mouse should now be synchronized. You should be able to use your mouse and and receiver should be giving a steady green light. If not, you will have to consider that the wireless mouse receiver is busted.

Microsoft wireless notebook optical mouse 3000 Doesnt seem to work?

Okay, a coworker had this problem and it was a fairly easy fix, first, plug the USB reciever into a direct USB port, then pess the connect button on the underside of the mouse, when the red light starts blinking let go and then press it and hold, and at the SAME TIME press and hold the connect button on the receiver until both the receiver light and the mouse light turn on steadily, and voila!
