Of course, the cord should be replaced. If you can do it yourself, then check with Sears or your local hardware store for a new cord. If you still have the manual then check in it for a service center if you need someone to fix it for you, or maybe Sears or hardware store could help.

Here is an web address that will give you a list of websites that sell oven parts if you can do it yourself and are still looking for a new cord.

How do I replace Electrical cord on DFual Electronic Convection Oven & Rotisserie Model BDCORPS10

It is like the one in the link, this would involve removing the base, or the case off the base. Inside you will see the grommet where the wire comes out from and a cord grip.

Depending on where the damage is, you could shorten the cable and put on a new wired plug.

Not heating, but light works? How do I fix this problem?

Your oven is obviously getting power if the light is on. If your heating elements are not getting hot you may have had a switch go bad, a wire come off it's terminal, or possibly a fuse that blew if your unit has one. There is really no way to know exactly where the problem is without taking the unit apart and visually inspecting it. If all the connections and switches look good, some electrical diagnosing is needed to see where the problem is. If you find any wires or switches that have any melted or burned plastic, you will need to repair the connection or replace the switch. If there is no obvious problem, you should have it looked at by a technician who can properly diagnose the unit.

What is the electrical rating of the Convection Toaster Oven Mdl #169127/169140 as the manual states that the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. I will be...

most appliances that have heating elements are rated between 1000 to 2000 watts, which will give you a current rating of between 5 to 10 amps, check at the back of the oven for the ratings. use
the formula P=VI, P(power(w) and V(voltage) and I is the current(amperes). the cord will have a
current rating, go for around 15 amp rating

Krups FBC2 Convection Toaster Oven Simply no power at all.

Having a toaster oven and a coffee maker on the same circuit is asking the breaker to trip in the house electrical panel, but I guess that you have learned the drill: only one appliance on at a time. Try moving the oven to the working side of the socket (the two socket sections can be spit apart and power each half from a separate house breaker and wiring). If the oven now works, check for a tripped breaker in the house panel. If the oven still doesn't work, look for a reset button near the cord entry point. Many heating type appliances have a thermal fuse that opens when things get too hot, but you need to get inside the cover where the cord enters.

Bush toaster is blowing fuses when switched on

It appears that there is a short in the toaster somewhere. Many times it is the cord. See if you can remove the cord and then test to see if the two leads of the cord are shorted with an ohmeter.
