I cant use my camera it appers system error how can i fix this?

Please check if the lens can move free. If there is any obstruction, it will stop and the camera will give an error. Also never try to stop the lens from moving.
Start over again. Remove the battery, charge it. Place the battery and the memory card when you are sure the memory card is not in the locked position. Then close the battery door carefully, so the door is locked correct. Then switch on again.
If the error comes back, perhaps the lens is blocked inside (broken gear or something like that) you have to contact the service centre.

Olympus FE100 4.0 When I turn it on it turns itself back off was not dropped or wetin anny way

Ok, 2 possibilities for this problem.

1- Low power batteries. Try to use full rechargeable batteries.
2- Lens mechanism has problem and camera got shut down itself because of error signal.

Please let me know about batteries and any error sign on LCD.
Thank you.

Nikon coolpix S3000 - lens error! - appears after turning on camera, lens goes out then in, message on screen will not go away, camera will not do anything at all except turn off. Does this mean the...

I got a same problem with different mode.

I planed to send it back to manufacturer, before packing it, I just knocked the back of camera with my palm in switch ON mode... the lens just retracted into normal position...

It can work for you to......

I am not an expert, it is just my experience I am sharing here.
If Lens struck with Lens Error!! on the screen, charge the batteries, switch on the camera, when the lens tries to move, feel free to knock a bit hard at the back of the camera with ur palm...... you cant hurt it any more than it already is., it might help the misplaced gears to aline back in if it is a minor problem.

Sorry about this un expert advice but it worked for me...

Just try it before sending in...

When I turn on my camera, it comes up with "Lens error". What does that mean?

HI. One possible reason for this error is the camera has been switched on and the lens unit is prevented from extending itself. The camera will struggle for a second to extend the lens, then report the problem as a "lens error". I would start by Inspecting the lens for any obvious obstruction, then turn the camera off, then back on again. Usually, simply switching the camera Off and On again will correct this problem. If that doesn't correct the error, Remove and recharge and/or replace the battery. If the error does not clear up right away, leave the battery out of the camera overnight, and try again the next day. You are basically forcing the cameras micro board and chip sector into a reset mode when preforming this procedure.

  • NOTE_ If none of the procedures above produce positive results, I'm afraid that this unit will need to be sent to the manufacture for a serious repair detail, due to mechanical lens failure. There are no user serviceable parts on these units

LENS ERROR problem

Try jiggling the lens. Use compressed air to blow out any grit around the lens barrel. If that doesn't do it, you'll need to get the camera serviced.

System error

Take the Battery[s] out and leave overnight. Re insert battery or if rechargeable, charge them up. Then to morrow reinsert- see what happens.
