My 95 eclipse is throwing codes 12, 31, 43, and 55 what do these codes mean?

12-cam shaft position Timing over retarded
31- HO2S heater Control Circuit Low (Needs a new O2 Sensor is what this is telling you)
43- HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1 Sensor 3)
55- HO2S Heater Resistance (Bank 1, Sensor 3)
All of those assume they are supposed to be preceded by a P00

If you are getting ODBI codes these are teh definitions you are looking for:
Code 12 Air flow sensor fault
Code 31 Knock sensor fault
Code 43 EGR fault
Code 55 AV valve position sensor

These may make more sense with that year model.

Washing machine stopped filling up and an error 43 or 43 came up on screen

Hi just read your posting. Now Error code 43 means you have an OUT OF BALANCE SWITCH FAULT.The switch is located under the control module which is located under the top panel.Would you like me to guide you throe the testing and possible replacement of the Switch? The secondary source of this error code is your Motor Controller. But we must test the switch 1st as the switch is the most likely component that is faulty.Have you or can you borrow an electrical test meter to test the switch. It would make it easier to test the switch with the tester but there are ways around this. Please reply for further assistance and I am sure I can help you rectify this fault.Looking forward to your reply.

I'm not exactly sure of the model, however it is code 43

43 error is the 'out of balance' fault code. The oob switch is under the motor controller board. This is accessed by removing the 2 screws at rear of facia and exposing the motor board which is attached to the hob. The microswitch is most probably faulty.or there is oxidation on the slide on connections. When replacing the switch make sure it's the same as the one coming off as they can be opposite function...Sometimes the oob arm below the oob swich can get jammed over the edge of the bowl and give the same fault...Check that first....Good luck....Nomess
