HOW DO I DELETE 18000 UNREAD MESSAGES IN WINDOWS LIVE MAIL FILE CONTAINING 26000 MESSAGES?

You can only select a full page at a time using Live Mail's internet connection.
You can set up another mail program on your computer and download all 26000 messages and select which ones you want to delete and then do it all in one operation. The mail program will then update Live Mail. This will take some time even if you are only downloading the headers.

How do i delete duplicate contacts in windows live email address book

I have assumed that:

1. Your identity is based upon an email account @hotmail.com,
or @msn.com, or @live.com - and
2. When you open WLMail, you allow it to sign into the same
hotmail, msn or live identity

If these assumptions are correct, an easy way to clean your
contact list is via the webmail interface.

Close Windows Live Mail

Use your web browser to sign into your mail account at
http://mail.live.com.

Click on Options, followed by More Options.

Scroll down to "Customize your contacts", and click on "Clean up
duplicate contacts".

Use the wizard to merge or delete duplicates.

Sign out from the webmail interface

Open Windows Live Mail and allow the program to sign into your
identity.

When you select the contacts menu, WLMail should synchronize with
the contacts list on the central server.

I accidentally permanently deleted my Outlook Express application, can it be restored? My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit, 2009 version, Service Pack 1

Windows 7 does not support the use of Outlook Express - this was removed from Windows Vista and Windows 7 and replaced by Windows Mail (in Vista) and by Windows Live Mail (in 7).
If you have copies of the Outlook Express mail database files (inbox.dbx etc) you should be able to migrate these into Windows Live Mail using the Import Messages option in the File menu and selecting Microsoft Outlook Express 6 then browsing to the folder where your mail database files for Outlook Express are held.
If you have previously exported your Outlook Express account details (name.iaf) - you can import these into Windows Live Mail too through the Import option in the Accounts page.
Lastly, if you still have your Outlook Express Address book (name.wab) this can be imported in to your Windows Live Contacts by selecting File then Import Windows Address book (.wab).

None of my sent messages will show up. My sent box is always empty when i click on it.

You havn't specified if you are using Outlook, Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail or you are using a Online Website to check the mail.

I am giving you the following steps do that hope that works...

For Windows Mail, Outlook, try these Steps:

1. Click on Tools (Press Alt and T together, if does not appears) on the the task bar on the top.

2. Click on Options. You will see a new window on screen.

3. In the Preferences tab you will see "E-mail Options", click on that. A new Window will open.

5. For Windows Mail you will find this option in Send Tab.

4. Check "Save copies of messages in Sent Items Folder". Then Click on Ok.
Again on Apply and Ok and that will be fixed.

***************************************************************************

If you are using a Online Mail Service then you will have a Option "Save a Copy" or something alike, make sure that is checked.

.....and you done

All incoming mail messages going directly to delete folder

Check for "mail-processing-rules" ("when the XXX field contains the text YYY, MOVE the message to the DELETED ITEMS folder").

Setup a new MSN/HOTMAIL ID, on a different computer, and see if messages to that ID get routed to that DELETED ITEMS folder.

Occasionally, you may have to change or reset the password for your Windows Live ID to sign in to Zune.net or to access your Zune account.

To change or reset the password for your Windows Live ID, follow these steps:
1. Visit the following Web page, and then click Forgot Your Password?: http://login.live.com (http://login.live.com) 2. Type your Windows Live ID, type the characters that appear in the Picture box, and then click Continue. 3. Click Send yourself a password reset e-mail message. 4. Click Send Message. 5. On the confirmation page, click Done. 6. Sign in to your e-mail account, and then click the link in the e-mail message to reset your password. 7. On the Confirm your e-mail address page, type your e-mail address, and then click Continue. 8. Type your new password two times, and then click Continue. 9. If you want to enter an "alternate" e-mail address, type the address two times, and then click Continue.
