Please check the modem you are using , if this is wireless check the service provider to see if the service is active.
if there are faults on the system check the properties of the modem in the PC. Clean off all files on the internet browsing, check your password and settings.
Check if there is any virus or malware on the PC.
If so set the PC to the earlier restore date.
