Ive just purchased an nec s5500 (I think thats what it is). It has an inbuit webcam which I cant get working. I think the webcam is an AveoCap but when I click on that application it opens saying "You have no video capture device".it has ms-6837d motherboard

If you cannot see a device in Device Manager, than the device is not properly attached, which means that it is possible that USB port is not working properly. Try attaching it in different USB port. If you know that USB port is functioning properly (other devices that you attach to it work), than camera might be dead.
