I am having the same problem on a Canon MX700. Each row looks fine, but page looks like it is fed with the upper left corner slightly in advance. Any help is appreciated. I'll look to see if any paper is still in the path.

    Thanks

Is it pulling through only on the right?
Or left?
Either way [sounds like] it needs taking apart to put the paper feeder cogs back inline.
To the right would suggest the easier option of the bar which is visible from where the paper exits has dislodged and the cogs sit on the left hand side of it.
As the paper feeds through it's unlikely the other option as those cogs are what feeds the paper through but they are intricate so it can't be ruled out.
Not much fun if you don't like doing mechanical maintenance I guess!

My Lexmark X2480 printer starts to feed the paper, it goes crooked and then an error message appears that there is a paper jam. How can I get to the rollers to clean them please? Thanking you in advance...

Normally this occurs when there is a tiny piece of paper stuck between the front roller and the feed metal piece. This can be cleared by putting something like a piece of card in (after lifting the flap at the front) and sliding it sideways until you can find the paper. Long nose pliers or tweesers can then be used to remove it.

Alternatively, put the card in and manually feed it though - as sometimes it can pick up and clear the paper jam.

Hope this helps.

Hi - having a paper issue. When paper feeds from the back it will not go in straight so everything prints at an angle. any suggestions

If you have previously had a paper jam, and it tore the paper, there could be a very tiny piece of paper stuck in the feed on the side...it only takes something very tiny to prevent the paper from feeding correctly...a child dropping a little piece of food, it could be anything...but I'd be about 90% sure that it's there. I found one once and it was so small it took forever to find it, and it was even harder to get out...you kind of have to work at it with some Q-tips, eyebrow tweezers, a paperclip, something that you can go in and attempt to clear the feed. If you dont/can't find it you may have to take it apart, and that's not fun, and runs the risk of it "never" aligning correctly...so be persistant.

PAPER FEED ISN'T WORKING ON MY LEXMARK X2480 THANKS When paper loads it pulls to one side and folds up and will not feed.

Last time I saw this was a few months ago when I retrieved a small comb from the paper infeed section of my pals printer.

It is worth disconnecting the printer from it leads turn it upside down and give it a good shake in case there is something way down in the paper track

Paper feed problem

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

Paper getting stuck

the reason the paper is going in sideways is because one feed roller has more pressure than the other

try cleaning the rollers with alcohol and cotton cloth

If that does not work remove the paper tray t

take your fingers and see if the feed rollers turn freely or turn in only one direction( some rollers are half moon and only turn a half turn)

Just try to make sure that the roller that is not working is in the same position and turns the same as the one that does feed properly

MY lexmark printers keeps giveng me an error that the machine is jammed or out of paper but is not the paper even has the tendency to catch and go down at an angle and this is not letting me print anything

  1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
  2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
  3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button.
  4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
  5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
  6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
  7. Turn the printer off.
  8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
  9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.

Loading printer paper

Where I was guiding the paper, after feeding the paper through the back of the machine (the slot is located on the outside of the back of the machine), the paper naturally wanted to enter underneath the black plastic plate where it would end up underneath the entire printing mechanism. As the instructions indicate, the paper does not actually feed "under the black plastic plate", it should feed through it. There are two rectangular silver tabs, one on each side of the proper paper entry slot. I cut the paper at a very slight angle and finally found the magic entry point. Also if you make an arrow with the paper by folding the sides, it will help guide it in that tiny silver slot. Because the machine is so tiny, that entry slot is almost invisible, except for those two silver tabs. After you manage to insert the end of the angled cut through the "invisible slot" be sure the entire edge of the paper actually enters the slot so that when you push the "Feed" button, the paper is grabbed and fished through evenly. Hope this helps somebody!
