After power surge panasonic hdtv projection tv model # PT-53WX42F wont come on red light flashes

Bobbie, It dose not sound like surge protector was real effective, the TV will have to come apart to diagnose what has all blown, capacitors, boards etc. Google search can help show how it is done.
Enter all your TV's info, will not power on repair.

If you can't turn on your TV it's because it is not working and you should take it to repair. Is it on warranty? The faster you should take it...

My power blinked and now my tv wont come back on,the yellow light just blinks and it wont do anything else???

not the lamp and lamp door is closed--double check lamp to make sure it is not shattered inside and is correctly inserted.

Other than that the possible reasons are Bad ballast that fires lamp, power supply board problems in the set or even a bad optical light engine or fan or fans not running.

My samsung hl-s4676s slim dlp wont turn on. the green light lights up and the normal sounds of start up come on. just a high pitch wine comes in after a few seconds and the screen dont light up at all....

Most likely, there is a capacitor swollen on the lamp starting ballast. If this is the case you will need to replace both the ballast and the power supply.
