Contact Canon Customer support.
I think you will find that either no repair is possible or the price prohibitive.

My IXUS 990 camera has fallen form a 1 ft hight and now lense is not going inside. I am surprised that this is treated by authorised canon repair agency as a broken lense reason. I saw the camera lense...

The lens/zoom mechanism has become misaligned. Its a series of tiny cogs and gears and one or more has slipped a tooth.

Really and truly, it needs to be dismantled for repair. If you try tugging or pressing the lens, you'll probably make it worse. Even if it works, that will always be a weak spot.

It looks like they're replacing new for old at your cost. They won't do it under warranty because it was dropped.

A couple of thoughts come to mind.
1) Is it repairable locally and at what cost ?
2) Does your household insurance cover accidental damage ?
3) Can you get a new one cheaper any where else.

If the answer to these is no, this looks like the best offer you're going to get.

Lense will not go in and out... message at start up is "lens error, restart camera"

Hello,
The lens of your camera has been stuck.
You need to go to Canon authorised service center. They will replace the optical assembly.

OR

You can give it to an expert for repair, he can repair it without replacing the optical assembly.

Canon S200, e18 message lense will not open

Sadly I would deem that this camera has been dropped and thus an expensive repair. Failure to being dropped ( most people deny this) try turning camera off and hitting the face of the camera like a slap into open palm several timjes. This will release any dirt or jamb that may have caused the lens to stick. if after 20 or so of these slaps then you have no oprion but to discard it or send it for expensive repair. repair lanbour is about 90 anj hour plus parts. add it up as 2 hrs =minimum and maybe parts to the cost of a new one with warranty

Broken LCD on canon ixus 750

Will cost more for the repair than buying a new camera.
They are cheap, under $300.00.

Lens will not retract

I had a Canon IXUS II do this.

Unfortunately it required a new lens which the repairer could not supply due to its age. The repairer replaced the camera for the same cost with much more recent model! The repair cost was £70 plus postage. (This was 4 years ago now when a new camera would have cost over £199).

If its under warrantee use it - Sadly it might be cheaper at todays prices to replace it instead of have it fixed.

Query Regarding No Display on LCD (view finder) in Canon Digital IXUS 750

With the camera on, have you tried pressing the DISP button once? It's the lower left button on the back of the camera. It manually turns the display on or off as desired to save batteries (you can then aim through the optical viewfinder).

Nothing Display in Canon Ixus 750

Explain how broken Does the Screen display anything? If it does but is cracked then clear tape will fix it. If it is 'dead' then nothing will fix it and no repair I would think is possible. But to be sure check your local web site for repairers or even Canon - but possibly not in Bangla
