Looks as if two identical transparencies were laid one over the other with one shifted either half a screen up or sometimes half a screen down and shifted slightly left or right

the tv is a Toshiba DLP model 72HM195. I am describing appearance of the picture

  • corbett627 Mar 13, 2011

The reset to factory default was one of the first things that I tried. It didn't help the situation. The problem is in the TV though, as the problem remains when the input is switched from the cable box to the DVD player.

The TV is a Toshiba 72" DLP Model# 72HM195. I have done the factory reset option. I have also determined that it is definitely the TV not the cable box as the problem remains when the input is switched to the DVD player.

Hello eagle 338. the TV is a Toshiba 72" DLP. The model # is 72HM195. I have done the suggested factory reset. The problem is in the TV not the cable box as the problem remains when the input is changed to the DVD player. I could be described as ghosting except the second picture is sometimes quite complete and vivid however you can still see the main picture under(or possibly under) the second picture. I do have a photo that I could email.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Hi corbett627,
I've suspected that you're convergence board gone bad, first look for bad solder joints around the board. If the symptom still persist the covergence chip/IC need to replace with new one and some of the resistor around. If you don't have necessary tools and test instrument and can't do the job yourself, I would advice you to look for a qualified technician to isolate the faulty parts.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

    Hello
Reset the TV to its factory default settings first . To make it factory reset do the following.

    1. Press MENU and open the Setup menu.
    2. Highlight Installation and press ENTER. (A new set of
Installation menu icons will appear on-screen, as shown
    below right).
    3. Open the System Status menu, highlight System
    Information, and then press ENTER.
4.. Use the [=> / <=] buttons to scroll through the menu bar to
    select Factory Defaults.
    5. Enter your PIN code (or 0000 if no PIN code has been set).
    6. Highlight Yes and press ENTER. The TV will turn off
automatically after a few seconds. After the TV turns off,
unplug the TV power cord and then plug it in again to
    complete the restore process.

    To cancel the reset:
    Highlight No and press ENTER

I have a 07XL1200low it won't shift into 2nd gear unless I shift at a high rpm from first Or I shift at a low rpm quick from first to second or I down shift into second it pops out when I give it gas

Hi Jamie, not good, could be and extremely misajusted or worn out clutch or you have a gear engagement problem probably caused by a bent or worn shifting fork, also sometimes shifter pawl and cam follower springs don't want to play any more. Check your primary fluid level and proper clutch adjustment. If you are comfortable with your clutch and oil level you might want to take it to your local dealer or reputable shop and have them pull the transmission and do an estimate. Has the bike ever been dropped or laid down on the left side a popular cause for shifting problems. Good luck

Flickering blue sceen

If it's a Gateway XHD3000, I may be able to fix it for you
I believe the problem is in the same board that causing the full strobing screen problem.
Cost is 150 to repair the problem board if it is fixable. No charge if not fixable.
You will have to pay round trip shipping for the monitor and power supply to Pennsylvania.

Problem with the shifting

You have bent shift forks. I would replace all the forks in this case. This is a job for the shop. You would not want to tackle it at home. Most guys who do wind up taking a box of parts to the dealer. The repair costs more that way than if you just take them the bike.
Sorry for your problem.

Pleas rate this solution. Thanks!

Need help

Since you are doing transparencies just make sure it is for HP also there may be a weight problem. You see as the sheet goes though it can cause a buckle to which now the print cartridge is not touching any longer.
