For model R-1752, it did not use a separate turntable coupler, the coupler is part if the turntable support, which is part number FROLPB025MRK0 (note ohs and zeroes).

You can order one from either Encompass here (for less but not in immediate stock) or from the
Sears Parts Direct Web site I own an old sharp - image-4235112-10659157(costs more but is shown in stock).

I've uploaded the service manual to our site here to help you.

The turntable on my Sharp microwave hood model # R-1511F is not turning

Could be the motor, coupling between the motor and turntable, or the controlling device (possibly a relay).

My turntable doesn't turn

Sounds like the turntable drive coupling is broken. In the bottom of the microwave where your turntable is, underneath that is a small drive coupling that the motor shaft pushes into. if the motor doesn't turn or the coupling, which commonly has a D shape shaft to keep it from slipping, is broken, the tray will not turn. One quick test it to remove your tray and see if you can turn the coupling easily by hand, if you can you probably have a broken drive coupling. The turntable motor is very difficult to turn by its shaft. so if it turns easily it is probably a broke coupling. NEVER force your turntable around by hand or you can break that coupling.

Sharp Carousel convection/ microwave. The turntable/ motor coupling has broken where can I buy one? I live in White River Mpumulanga. My e mail adress is richardtaggart@msn.com

Looks like you have the purchase the glass tray in order to get the coupler. I would give Reliable Parts a call though phone # is 1-800-666-0313. Give them your model number and the name of the part you need.

I have a Sharp convection over model R-9H84B and the turntable piece is broken. One of it's three tabs is broken off so it will no longer turn the table. Do you know where I could get one of these?...

They aren't cheap, but I found them here:

http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Glass-Tray-Drive-Coupling/1266724

I was looking because after 15 years, my drive coupling cracked out where it connects to the turn table motor. Getting it out isn't that difficult - just remember to unplug the oven before you work on it. If the old coupler won't come out with gentle and even prying, flip the oven upside down - there is a small door on the bottom help shut with a single philips (+) screw which will give you access to the motor. Remove the two philips screws and lift the motor out and then use your screw driver to gently encourage the coupler out. I found removing the motor was the easiest way to install the new coupler - install the coupler then the motor while holding the coupler in upside down. I have the model with the door opening like a conventional oven door and it will not want to stay open for you while the oven is upside down. Either have some one hold it open while you have an arm in there or be prepared to have your arm squeezed a bit.

Cheers,
David

Have a Sharp R-230 Microwave with a turntable that stopped rotating. Everything else is fine. Any advice?

This is fairly common one, the Turntable Motors often turn their toes up, and are a fairly simple replacement. You may be able to do it yourself, BUT I recommend you get a serviceman to do it. That would be much safer. MW are lethal. Due to the HUGE Power Capacitor inside.

1990 Sharp Carousel II over microwave / vent hood

Sharp calls that the turntable coupler when it's a separate part.

If it's part of the the part with three legs, that is called the turntable support.

You can order Sharp parts from Tritronics at http://www.wehaveparts.com

If yours is model R1610, we actually have that full service manual on our site at http://www.microwavedisplay.com/r1610_sm.pdf
