Question about Frigidaire Side By Side Refrigerator 26 Cu. Ft. FRS266ZDSB

Open Question

Frigidaire Model BFHS2611LMO Side by Side with water filter inside and to the back of the refrigerator. Purchased 10/2010. Very low flow from the water dispenser and to the ice maker. It appears the water is freezing up near the filter. Tried to increase the temperature inside the refrigerator and freezer, but it still freezes. A filter replacement helps for about two days and then the flow is back to very slow. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  1. I would remove both solenoids (one at a time-not to mix them up) pay attention and mark all parts- try cleaning or replacing them. Most are fairly common supply items. Paying attention to wiring and proper installation is important during re assemble. JOHN-LA

Low water at dispenser

Hello Chuck, thank you for your post!
From the information you have provided you are receiving low water pressure at the dispenser on your Frigidaire refrigerator. This could be due to a dirty or clogged filter and I would check to see when you last replaced it. I have researched model FRS3R5EMB and show the water filter is part number WFCB.

If you have changed your filter within the past six or nine months the low pressure could be due to an obstruction within the water line or an issue within the dispenser. Since it could be anyone of these underlying issues I would recommend having a professional technician out to perform a proper diagnosis and repair. This will help you to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. I hope that this information is helpful to you. -Matt

Side by side. Why is water filter freezing?

Hi Jimmy, thank you for your inquiry!

From my understanding the water filter inside of your Frigidaire refrigerator is freezing. The freezing could be caused due to the internal temperature inside of your refrigerator being too low. To unfreeze your filter you can perform a defrost cycle on your refrigerator or turn up the internal temperature. If that does not work to correct your issue it may be a problem within the filter and you may need to replace the filter. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

I have the Frigidaire Model BFHS2611LMO Side by Side and the handle on the right side is very loose. I took off the rubber seal on inside of door but dont see any screws to tighten. How do I tighten

The model number is actually BFHS2611LM0. The handles have keyhole openings that fit over the pair of screws (near the top and bottom of the handle) on the outside of the doors. Try pushing the right side handle forward and down to lock it back onto those screws. If that doesn't solve the problem, push the handle up and then lift it off the screws. Then tighten the screws a bit (or replace them if they have stripped threads). Then replace the handle over the screws and push the handle down. Do not overtighten the screws; that can damage the door components. The manuals is available from Frigidaire's support site: . The support page for your refrigerator is here: . The parts diagram shows how the handles are attached; it's the last link on the support page.

I hope this helps.

Frigidaire FRS6R5ESBS: I am having problems with

Good Afternoon Renee, thank you for your post! First, have you recently changed the water filter? Most side-by-side filters are recommended to be change approximately every 6-9 months depending on your water usage and frequency. With the new design of the water filter, incoming water pressure may be the problem. By leaving the water valve on while changing the water filter, it may not allow the filter to make a good connection.

When the filter is being put in initially, try turning off the water supply to the refrigerator, and then insert the water filter. Turn the water back on, and you should not have any issues.

Also keep in mind that a clogged water filter or a blocked supply water valve may also lead to low water flow. If so, melt the blockage using a hair dryer - but be careful to not melt any plastic parts!

We do hope this resolves your concerns. If I can be of further assistance, please feel free to reconnect.

Were is water filter in refrigerator

The water filter is located inside the fresh food section. In the top right hand up front as soon as you open the door it has a push button to eject the cartridge or it is in the back of fridge section in a plastic cup that easily unscrews. A new filter can be purchased at a hardware store or local appliance repair store. they can also be ordered online.

Hi, we own a Frigidaire side by side refrigerator model FRS3R5EMBE. We recently hooked up a water line to the unit to make ice cubes & drinking water. The problem is that when initially water flowed...

Very unlikely the couplings are loose, but i think the cartridge is not screwed in properly (all the way). Take the cartridge out again and inspect if seal is in good order. Almost certain problem is there.(screw nice and firm).

Filtered water quit working on my Frididaire side by side

Can you remove a line from the back rear of the unit and see if water flows there? The solenoid valve should make a solid "click" when the water lever is pushed. Any debris in the valve filter screen? See if you can reach up or look inside to see if the water lever is actually pushing the door mounted switch in, may be able to press switch with your finger if you can reach it or with a pencil, etc.
