My Optoma HD 72 flashes green like others have descibed, but if I run it in High Altitude mode it corercts the problem, although it it very noisey. Any ideas to what is causing this issue and how to fix it, I really don't want to run high altitude mode all the time. Thanks.

Sounds like the air flow is restricted and overheats using the regular fan speed.
check for air flow blockages inside and outside, filter problems, etc

I had the same problem and cleaned out all the vents, inside and out.... only solution for me was the High Altitude switched to on. Too much heat around the ceiling and the fan on low speed isn't doing the job.

Optoma ep 1690, the on/standby led is flashing green but when I try to turn it on the temp and lamp led's flash twice and nothing happens, the on/standby continues to flash green.

The projector lamp life may have exceeded its safe limit, check your instruction manual, sometimes you have to hold the on or off button for 10 seconds to reset this. All manufacturers are different but that may be the problem.

Here is a copy of the manual, I havn't read it, my solution is from experience of other projectors.

Good luck

My HD 65 keeps flashing green.. I turned the high altitude on and it stopped.. But it's now starting again.. There is only 480 hrs used. What to do??????

From what I've read, flashing colors could mean dust on the color wheel. Try removing the lamp and blowing air on the color wheel. Also if using the red, blue, green cables check to make sure the red is in tight.

I have a Sony SXRD KDS-R50XBR1 and the tv keeps shutting off and turning back on. While its off the green power light flashes. I just had the lamp replaced and the optical block replaced a few months...

Green light flashing is normal as the lamp warms up before turning on.
If it runs for a bit before turning off it's likely to be overheating somewhere.
Looks to be more than one fan in this so possibly dust in one of the others but there should be a "High Temperature Warning!" message if it's overheating. This set has a "high altitude mode" for extra cooling.
If it turns on and then turns off again instantly it might be something has failed.
There is quite a detailed service manual if you want to have a look for possible clues:

We have a optoma ep739 used at our local football club;but whenit gets warm it cuts out until it cools down;isthere any filters that need cleaning

take the lamp out, there is a fan directly looking to the lamp... clean it with a compressor. and after that at the menu of projector there is a place called 'High Altitude'. turn it on. And it'll be fine...

Optoma Projector power LED is blinking green, funs are not working, lamp not function, how can i solve this problem

i'd say power supply issue, but the led is blinking green. this means that it thinks it's in warmup/standby mode. but if nothing's running, the main board might be bad and needs to be replaced.

Picture is green with some purple shades

i don't know if this will work but..... I have an Optoma h27 and we were having problems with the color and ours is mounted on the ceiling in inverted also; and after two years we started having color problems, come to find out that on the menu there is a option for high altitude and that had been turned to the "off" position (probably by our kids resetting all the options and not turning this one back on)..... after taking it to a tech that cleaned it for $97.00 and said there was no problems he could find, we played around with the remote/menu and came across this high altitude option and when we saw it was on the "off" position, we put it to the "on" position and another fan inside the projector came on and that helps to keep the inside of the projector cool at all time and helps from the color becoming weird..... Try this on yours and hopefully that will solve your problem.

Optoma EP739 Projector Overheating

Set the projector to "high altitude mode." It will be noisier, but won't overheat. I wonder whether using one of those $10-$20 laptop coolers underneath it might be a quieter solution.
