Question about PC Desktops

Roland Camm-1 CX-24 Error Er15:RS-232Err How do I fix this? Thanks John

    I switch on main switch and the machine automatically goes through its loading proceedure, I then load the paper and dial to "edge" then press "enter" and the machine identifies the paper location and should then go to show cutting width on the display

    however it shows the error Er15:RS-232Err

    This happens regardless of any signal from the computer, and even when it is completely isolated from the computer.

    None of the control keys work except the position keys which have no effect on the problem.

    This particular error comes when:

    Framing error ,parity error, or an overrun error happens, at the time of data reception. The protocol setting must be correctly made to match the computer settings

You should Buy a newer Model, Vista will not detect it. That is why Vista was a mistake... I like Linux Computers much better

3 medium beeps on pc; repeating


Hi John. If you already swaped the Memory, it's the video card. I'm giving you what the beep means according to the different types of BIOS, because basically Ascent is a clone PC. I hope it helps.
(you will have to open the computer to see the BIOS type.)

BIOS AWARD

1 long beep and 2 shorts -- Video error
2 short beeps -- non-fatal error.
1 beep corto -- OK.

BIOS AMI

1 short beep -- Memory error.
2 short beeps -- ECC error.
3 short beeps -- Memory error.
4 short beeps -- change atery
5 beeps cortos -- bad processor.
6 beeps cortos -- bad keyboard.
7 beeps cortos -- video memory bad.
8 beeps cortos -- video bad.
BIOS PHOENIX

1-1-2 beeps -- Problem with cpu/motherboard.
1-1-3 beeps -- Cmos issue.
3-4-1 beeps -- Video issue.

BIOS IBM

1 short beep -- Post normal, ok!.
2 short beeps -- POST error, will show on screen.

connect the printer and the comp. and boot up....windows should recognize the new device.
did you add the plotter to "add printers" and its driver and to the correct port?
make sure your plotter is on and loaded and function key pressed.
also some cable manufacturers supply a driver...so download one if need be.
what software are you using? is the software cutter driver set to the correct printer and port?
(by default it never is)!!

You didn't say what machine it is, and you didn't say what OS you're running on it, or in which context it gave the error. Is this a BIOS screen error? In that case you'd look up the answer in a Peter Norton guide to PCs or such. Seriously, it's in the PC Desktops list and I'm suspecting it's actually a printer you're talking about. Get your story straight and (after studying up as much as you can on your own) put your question or success story up in the right category.

A Open Computer running Windows XP is


run with safe mode and go with admin privileges then when u are in go START -RUN - TYPE THERE ( MSCONFIG ) -startup and desable all startup items and restart the pc!!!
