I have bought a tall larder fridge recently. It is making a what I think is a strange noise for a fridge. Instead of a humming sound which I expected it is making a rumbling sound - sounds like there is air in the pump.
any suggestions on what I can do to fix this?
thanks

I understand that your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FFSS2614QS, is making a strange humming noise. Your new, high-efficiency refrigerator may introduce unfamiliar sounds. These sounds normally indicate your refrigerator is operating correctly. Some surfaces on floors, walls, and kitchen cabinets may make these sounds more noticeable. This could possibly be the compressor that you are hearing. Modern, high-efficiency compressors run much faster than in the past. The compressor may have a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound. Hope this is helpful.
you should not have a problem but anything is possible but first thing is to make sure that your power box is fitted with a new modern safety switch and if you do not have the new upgrade of an electrical box then connect your power supply to your fridge with a new modern power board that you can pick up from a local supermarket or electrical outlet and make sure it has a good safety switch and the first thing of any fire or fault it will throw the safety switch before a spark or any upsets happen or get it checked out from a refrigeration mechanic
Check where the compressor is and right next to the compressor should be a fan .Check to see if fan is running ,if it is then check the final type coil to make sure they are clean . Sounds like your unit is shutting off on high head pressure
Many times a freezer and/or refrigerator
do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other
things that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the
last two tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then…
Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start
trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling
a repair person to do a simple thing for you...
It does sound like it might be the recent excess of humidity we've been having. Once dryer weather comes, see if it's still happening. It does take a while for cold water to evaporate from just the heat of the fan blowing over the compressor. Only other thing i can think of is, it's defrosting more often than it should be, meaning you may have a bad defrost timer. It should only be defrosting once a day. But I'd give it time before ripping it apart.
