From the main time display, hold down the adjust button until it beeps and your time zone is flashing on the bottom of the display. Then press the mode button once. [AUTO/ON/OFF] DST will be flashing on the bottom. Use the Time Memo and/or Receive buttons to cycle the mode. When it's what you want, press adjust twice.

I would like to have whole complete instruction for my CASIO G-Shock GW-500A. Especially I want to know how to get back that little radar image at the top right... Thank you.

Go to the casio web site "casio.com".

Select "support" and the "manuals",
watches;

Accept terms

Select "watch manual archive"

Read the number of the back of your watch and enter it into the search box

(The little "radar" image is an indication of the strength of the timing signal when the the signal was last transmitted. No image means the it did not receive a signal last night; a partial image means that a weak was received.)

How much is a new battery for a GW-500A? It is solar powered is it common for the battery to need replacement?

The rechargeable batteries last one to three years and must be replaced, cost depends on make and model, so I can't give you a price, but should be easy to find out from the jewelers.

I have a gw-500a and the battery got replaced with a brand new one, but my watch still says charge and it won't let me change the mode or anything. The time is on the screen though. Please help

You have to reset this watch after battery replacement. Using tweezers or something similar you have to touch the AC & - contact on back of watch, for 2 seconds. Hope this helps.

I have a Casio Shock Risist watch (GW-500A) that says "charge" on the display, that is all it shows. Does it need a new battery or what?

this watch requires no battery. It uses solar cells. my watch did this as well. to make the watch functional again my advice is to not wear the watch for one day and place it near a window that gets a lot of sun.

My Casio Gw-300 is not receiving the satelite signal to receive daylight savings time. The display is not showing the satelite dish or any bars in the receiving indicator

I'm having the same problem. It's been working fine for about 4 years and now there are no bars or the picture of the satellite. There is a little "C" or "[" next to where it should be though. Maybe that is some sort of error message? I left it in my window for three days straight to get full days of sunlight and the battery is full but still no signal. Did something happen to the atomic signal carriers? Or is my watch finally dead?

Atomic watch

You most likely don't have the Daylight Savings Time (DST) set to AUTO mode. Just hold the ADJUST button until the time starts blinking. Then hit MODE and DST will show on the top. Hit RECEIVE as needed until you see AUTO in the bottom. Then just hit ADJUST 2 more times and you're set.

These instructions are actually for my Casio G-Shock MTG-900 but I imagine they're very similar for most G-Shock atomic watches.
