Hi there...

Looks like your keyboard have some problems with Dust.

Jammed keys are more caused by getting dusts and other small particles into the keys.

1. Best way of get rid of jammed keys is clean the surface. you can use a small vacuum cleaner for this.

2. Another way is not permanent solution, yet it will give quick results. turn the keyboard back side up. give one or two light slaps on the back of Keyboard. shocks caused by the slaps will move jammed keys. but this is a temporary solution.

Try resetting the computer then hitting the connect button on the keyboard after the computer has started. Or unplug the keyboard and turn the comp on before plugging in the keyboard and hitting connect.

My keyboard only works when it wants to, i thought it was a virus but my laptop is now virus free and my keyboard still does not work properly, sometimes does not work at all sometime the number two holds...

If you have a sticky key that you know of you may have a couple that you haven't noticed. The number 2 key sticking usually means something was spilled on it at one time.If nothing is spilled you will only see the keys at the sides act up and usually the longer or larger ones. These act up from not hitting them straight but at an angle.

The next time it does this try thumping the keyboard to jar stuck keys loose. The key may look ok but is stuck just enough to do this. You just need to flick a finger at the keyboard to knock them loose. You may have to do this a few times before it dislodges the offender. On a normal keyboard you flip it over and knock on the back like knocking on a door to do this. On a laptop you can't hit it as hard.

If the keyboard keeps doing this your option is to replace it. Depending on the make and model a new laptop keyboard is about $45-$75 and is installed in a few minutes.

My keyboard is not responsive unless I hit the keys very hard. Its making me crazy. My "m" key isnt working unless I really continue to hit it hard.

Hitting it hard ( and I can understand your frustration), will not help the keyboard problem.
I think you have a fault in the keyboard connector lead. The best way is to replace the keyboard with a new one or good 2nd hand one ( ebay is a good starting point). You can also prise off the offending key and clean underneath, however, this is a very delicate task.

The other solution ( and I'm going to get flack from the purists for suggesting it), is to remove the keyboard and wash it in warm soapy water, rinse it and let it dry THOROUGHLY" for 24 hours, this gets muck out from under the keys and works well if you spill coffee etc on the keyboard.

Distilled water for the rinse is best

I don't guarantee the above, but if you need to replace the keyboard, you have nothing to lose

Cordless Keybaord - Some keys not functioning

Could be interference from a wireless device using the same frequency. Locate any other wireless keyboard/mice from the vacinity and try it again. Also, push the connect button on the bottom of the keyboard and see if that helps. Also make sure the base station of the keyboard is close enough to the keyboard/mouse.

Re touchpad behaving oddly!

Debbie, I can't find anything on this that would cause it with a keyboard command. Lets do this; lets roll back the system to the last restore point before your one year old confused us both. LOL....
Click on Start Menu and then select HELP & Support
in the search box type SYSTEM RESTORE
when the options come up look for RUN SYSTEM RESTORE WIZARD and follow the prompts to the day before the issue was created, or the closest date available before the problem.
When the system rolls back we will see if that fixes your problem. (It's not as scary as it sounds)
Let me know if this works for you! //Don
