Hi there,
The problem is that your laptop has no sound drivers. To fix, we need to install these "drivers" (a program that tells windows how to interact with your speakers correctly).
Assuming you're using windows 7, download the following file:

Once it's downloaded, go to the place where you saved it, then right click and click "extract all" click next through all the steps and you should have a new folder. Double click on that and then double click on "SETUP.EXE". Click through all the steps, if anything asks for permission give it permission, if any warnings come up, accept them because you know this is a trusted piece of software from samsung, then finally restart your computer when you're prompted to.
Good luck!

No sound from my laptop?

If you have no sound, there are several reasons. First, the sound may be turned off. Check the sounds icon in the control panel. Check to see if your laptop speakers are the default playback device and make sure they have not been muted. Check the little picture of a speaker in your system tray. Click on it to see if the volume is too low or the little mute square is not checked.
Rarely is the problem defective speakers--rather it's muted volume or the wrong playback mode being chosen. For instance, if you have a set of earphones and you can't hear sound from the speakers, you probably will be able to hear it through the earphones.

Hi iam using dell vastro A860 laptop just recently face one major problem laptop internol spaeker sound not working when i use headphone sound working good what hapend the sound is notworking iternel...

Very possibly you muted the sound. Check the little speaker icon in the system tray. When you click it you should see if it is muted or not. Muting the speaker does not mute the headphones, as a general rule.

Am usin HP530 but i have no sound on my laptop what can i do

Make sure the sound is not turned down, muted, or enabled. Check the system tray (where the clock is on the bottom right), look for a little speaker icon. Click it, and then make sure volume is up, it's not muted. Also, if using Win7 you must click the mixer button below that to see more options. If you do not see a speaker icon, most likely you have drivers or hardware issues.

My computer sound does not work windows xp laptop

Quite a few things to try
  1. The Volume is down or muted - Look at the system tray - righthand bottom - look for a speaker icon and click to see if muted or down.
  2. Start>control panel> sound - see if anything is muted
  3. Press the Windows key (bottom left of the keyboard} and at the same time press the R key, now in the search box that appears - type devmgmt.msc - look for sound devices, click on the + sign make sure a sound device is listed
  4. Re-install the sound driver, Look on the Laptop manufacturers Support website - should see the audio driver - IF you comment back the Make and EXACT model - I can find the driver

Sound problem in my laptop

Do you have the speaker icon on the lower right? If so, check to see if sound is "muted" (turned off) . If the sound is turned-on it will have two sound waves on the right of the icon. If muted it will have a circle with a slash added to the icon. If muted click on the icon then click the speaker in the new window. Check the sound by changing the volume - it will beep when you change the volume.

If the above did not fix the problem you need to download and reinstall the sound card driver.
