PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. This is a uniqueeight-digit code specific to your SIM card. This is required when the PINnumber to unlock your mobile phone is entered incorrectly 3 times. You are thengiven 10 attempts to enter your PUK code. If an incorrect PUK code is enteredafter the 10th attempt, you will block your SIM card permanently and willrequire a new SIM card from your mobile phone provider.
PUK codes can be obtained through the following ways - The PUK code is in your SIM card documentation Starter Pack.If you do not have this then -Please contact your phone service provider.
Your cell phone service provider can give you the PUK code once you give themyour account details and they have confirmed your identity.

Pls my visafone haier c5000 was mistakenly blocked n i've lost my sim card how do oget my PUK code?
I don't quite understand when you said "I've lost my sim card, how to get my PUK Code?", PUK code is specific for every sim cards, so if you have lost that sim card which was blocked, I don't think you will ever need the PUK code for that sim card. But if you mean that your sim card is blocked and you are being asked for PUK Code, please follow the instructions given HERE. This is one of my "how to's" about PUK Code issue.

Call your mobile service provider...
give them your details and get the PUK code...
If you enter wrong PUK code, you sim card will be blocked permanently...

PIN Blocked call customer care
You don't have another choice except contact the "Customer care" of your Service Operator (Network Operator). This happens when a user enters wrong PUK or PIN code for a specific number of times and the problem isn't with your phone but from the service operator's system which automatically block the sim service for security reason. Hi,

PIN CODE is SIM dependenet and not phone dependent

PUK code in PIN UNLOCKING CODE, which is required when you give PIN number wrongly for 3 times,
This code is OPERATOR specific and not phone specific and you have to call you operator and get PUK if PIN is blocked...

if you provide PUK code wrongly for 7 time, you sim may become useless, then you have to buy new SIM

NOTE: You should ask your service provider,get the PUK, give the PIN 3 times wrongly and it asks for PUk,provide the PUK and set the new PIN..
