Turn off your IDLE settings and don't let the server go into IDLE.

Check that and see if that makes a difference.

Hi Steven,

the power is or will be needed. Your unit is a single monitor... are you trying to make it a dual screen setup?

What is the target OS... ? How are you connecting *(USB or PS2) to the PC?

-If you use PS2 you might have to reboot your PC
Is the PC DVI or VGA?

I hope that helps getting you up and running

Hi, I have 2-Port Avocent Switch 100, Model: 2SV130BND1-001 but the hot key sequence ScrlLk + ScrlLk doesn't work.

ScrLk + ScrLk + End to reset Console Mouse and/or Keyboard hotkeys.

This is also noted in the quick install guide.

Thanks

Just bought a 4 port KVM and hooked it up and the USB mouse and keyboard arn't recognized by either of the two computers that were hooked up. The HOTKEYs are recognized by the KVM. The lights on keyboard...

is that a Mouse/keyboard combo ? If so, try with a standalone Mouse and a keyboard. If the Keyboard and Mouse need Special Drivers the solution might not work neither.

I hope that helped.

switch everything over to usb...mouse and keyboard... or by a ps2 to usb adapter and test it out... one usb to ps2 adapter can handle both keyboard and mouse... if that doesn't work its either a virus or memory...

USB mouse not recognized

I have similar problem. 2 inland KVM's (both have PS2 inputs, one has USB outputs) do not light or recognize my usb mouse with a PS2 adapter. They do recognize a PS2 ball mouse on the KVM's however. One of the computers (Sony vaio 1.5 GHz) does recognize a usb mouse with adapter on 2 other KVM's (Old Belkin and a Trendnet) (the second computer I have not tried in those configurations). Next I will try an optical mouse with a PS2 fitting. That did work with a fifth KVM at an auto business last week.

Hyundai monitor connects two computers .how do i switch between them?

Use a KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) switch to connect your 2 computers to this monitor. Then you can also have only one keyboard and one mouse. Connecting to the VGA header with one computer and the digital with another is probably not a good idea and the only way that can work is if your monitor has a built in video switch that can be controlled with software. If that is the case they would boast about it in the user manual and tell you how to activate the switch. VGA KVM switches are relatively in-expensive. Some high end KVM switches will exceed the cost of your monitor.

Wireless keyboard & mouse not working

First download and run regscrub xp and ccleaner to clean up your system then try uninstalling and reinstalling the logitech setpoint software and try the keyboard and mouse again. Let me know if this works.
