Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router

Router dropping connection to start with , I would cycle the power and it would go back to working. Now it's stopped all together getting online.

From the information you've given, it seems like your router is dead. It just is too old. The model you described it quite old and those routers just don't last like you want them too. I'd suggest buying a new router.

If your broadband provider has no issues, try to reset the router through the reset button at its back for about 10 seconds. do this with the router disconnected from the computer and power. after that, with the computer turned off, reconnect the router and set it up again if you need specific settings and test the connection. you may also need to try using another cable to connect the router to your modem.

Suddenly stop working


First thing to do if you lost the internet connection on the router is to do a power cycle, you need to turn off the modem and router for a minute then after that power the modem back oin and wait for about 30 a minute then power the router back and check now if internet is already working, if still no internet with the router you need to press and hold the reset button of the router for 20 seconds and run again the setup CD for it....
