    Hi Daniel.

Thanks.but go Im sad to say. I have been told to eliminate the wires that control the 'Hot' wash part of the cycle and just use as a 'cold water dishwasher' is this correct?

The dishwasher keeps cutting out after about 10mins into the cycle. It sometimes trips the breaker.
Not overheating then , If I leave it for a while I can reset it and start again but it will cut out again.

This is happening due to shorted wires or worn out wires connected to the element. It may also occur if you are not using the model specific part as replacement. Please get the element checked again for any cut or loose wires. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need further information.

Does eliminating the wires to 'Hot' wash part help you? If no then it is an issue with the wires shorted inside the dishwasher. The circuit breaker trips when the current drawn by the dishwasher is more than the expected limit. I would suggest you to check shorted wires or worn out wires connected to the element.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need further information.

Westinghouse dishwasher sb916sk runs 22 minutes then cuts power

Is it on a dedicated circut? A dishwasher needs to have a 12Ga two conductor with ground line that is dedicated to ONLY the dishwasher and possibly share with the garbage disposal.
Also, it should be on a 20 Amp breaker.

Whirlpool dishwasher stuck in cycle

I found this:There are are 2 stats, hi limit and operating. You should find them attached to the pump housing. It gets a little tricky but the problem will boil down to one of the stats is bad or the heating element itself is bad [or something like a wire burned off at the element which will be obvious]. It can get a little tricky. I would start by checking to see if the element gets hot during operation. If no, ohm test the element itself. If ok, ohm test the high limit stat, it should be closed at room temp. If ok, try bypassing the operating stat and see if the element now gets hot during operation.

Runs thru cycle but no heat . Exaust air is cold. All filters are clean

first make sure you have 240volts at the plug,if not check homes fuses or breaker to make sure they're good and/or not tripped, then remove either the top and front cover,or if the heating element is accessable from the rear do that,if the elements ok then check the hi limit thermostat on the element housing, then check the thermal fuse and cycling thermostat/switch on the blower housing,if any of these open you wont get heat

Wont turn on changed thurmal fuse. worked one load than blew agin.

if your machine is running extremely hot, check for proper exhaust from element housing thru blower wheel housing all the way to the outside vent pipe, any lint will impede air flow and can cause this condition, then replace the dryer cycling switch as it may be getting erratic and not cycling when dryer is hot enough it is located on the element case along with the hi-limit thermostat, replace them both

Heating element broken, water leaking

You have to pull out dishwasher to replace the element. The element is easy to replace once you have pulled dishwasher out. This enables you to reach the area that you need to reach. It is common for a element to brake. On a newer dishwasher ,I would say it must have been defective if it just broke in half.Nothing electrical in a dishwasher can cause it to brake.

My dishwasher is tripping the electric.

Usually time to replace the heating element. The element is sealed inside a metal tube packed with a dry powder to insulate it. If the outer tube leaks (and it only takes a pinhole), the powder gets wet and stops insulating. It only takes a tiny earth leak to take modern trips out. If your dishwasher is one of those where the element is visible in the bottom of the compartment you load the dishes into, replacing it yourself ought to be straightforward. If it's buried in the works, whether you want to tackle it yourself or pay someone else to do it depends on how confident you are. Either way, it shouldn't be catastrophically expensive. A.
