I am wondering if the power connectors have to be in a certain order for them to work or can you plug them in where ever they reach the component you want to hook up?

You can plug the 4 pin power connectors into different devices in any order. The conectors are rounded on 2 corners and flat on the other 2 corners so you cannnot insert them the wrong way (without forcing them really hard).

If you are talking about the cables from the power supply that are made for each component (Hard drive, video car, CD-ROM, etc.) then yes, they can be hooked up any way that fits the setup you have in your case.

The only real discrepancy is that you have to be sure they are coming straight from the power supply. A lot of components do offer a split connection for when connections are limited, though.

Simply put, make sure that the cable you are connecting to something that is important to your computer (Again, hard drive, video card, CD-ROM (not entirely necessary, I guess,) has a solid connection to the power supply.

Hard drives and CD-ROM drives are interchangeable for the most part, though. You just need to watch that you aren't connecting something to a 'dead end' cable where is won't get the power it needs to operate.

As long as it's a straight connection to the power supply though, and the PS has the wattage to handle it, just go for maximum air flow within the case and keep it tidy.

The system is getting power but no sound is coming out when plugged to any audio device

The good news is that the system is getting power so that section is fine. The not so good news is that the audio section of the circuit board is broken, which can be hundreds of components. So if the system is out of warranty, take a screwdriver and take out the board from the enclosure. Now examine the component side for loose component leads and then on the solder side for loose joints. Next make checks with a multi-meter continuity test between the solder and the copper print for loosened solder. Almost certainly it will be the case of loose solder joint of a transistor/component due to prolonged EXTREME VIBRATION inside the enclosure. Just put your fingers on a working sub woofer to get a sense of the vibration.

So hopefully once certain doubtful solder joints have been identified, just re-solder those points. A few pokes with the soldering iron can do wonders and bring the system back to life.

Also wax up the suspected components so that they don't start swinging again to the beat and get thrown out of the circuit.

Power surged at a gig last night amp would power up but hummed .now it wont power up at all

This is a serious mistake and one starting point could be checking your power supply capacitors, certainly they will be out, thing is if this is the only components that got fried or the issue goes beyond and reaches power amp module, let me know furthermore.

Acer aspire 5720z won't start up. No Power

The power receptacle in the laptop (where you plug in the AC adapter cord) might be damaged. In order to diagnose this problem, please follow the diagnosis outlined in this article:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r6395191-troubleshooting_laptop_power_failures_ac

Next, if you made sure that it is not a power receptacle problem, then you will have to disassemble your laptop, removing one component at a time & testing. First start by removing the battery, hard drive, RAM modules, CD/DVD drive, wireless card adapter, .... etc. Continue removing the parts till you only have the motherboard, testing after you remove each component. Once you get the power LED on the power adapter to glow when plugged to the laptop, you then know that the component you just removed is the faulty one that needs to be replaced. If you reach the point where all components have been removed & only the motherboard is remaining, then the mother board is the defective part that needs to be replaced.

If you carefully take a screw driver and short the two power switch pins together it should start. Did it work before you cleaned it? On the connector itself it should say power sw.

We are not getting power to the laptop. We are certain that the A/C adapter works on another ibm thinkpad. Could it be a faulty connector or another internal component?

Almost everytime if the a/c adapter still works, this can be attributed to the power connector has lost connection with the motherboard. Be sure to check that the wattage on the adapter matches that listed on the bottom of the laptop first. if it does, you need to get a new power connector to solder onto the motherboard. Best left to a computer shop unless you are an expert at soldering and computer internals.

My Dell Dimension 3000 PC won't start when I push the power button

A.Bad Power On switch. (Behind the Power On button)

B.Bad power supply

C.Power supply cables have come loose inside the computer.
1.Power supply to motherboard. (20-pin connector on motherboard)
This connector has two pins in it for Soft Power On. The power supply does not connect directly to the Power On switch. The power supply connects to the motherboard, and turns on via Soft Power On.

ADVISEMENT!!
ALWAYS have the computer unplugged from power before reaching inside!

ALWAYS work on a table. DO NOT work on a bed, or directly on a carpet floor. These are high areas for Static electricity! Static electricity will silently burn out computer hardware components. You may not see it or feel it.
Touch the metal frame of the computer case, to relieve your body of static, BEFORE you reach inside.

It sounds like a broken power jack. to verify this remove the battery and leave the DC connector plugen in the PC, slowly move the connector where it plugs into the laptop and see if the power comes on when its at a certain angle. If it does then you need to remove the mother board from the computer and order a new DC jack and unsodder the old one and re-sodder the new one on and that should fix the problem. If you and never soddered with circut boards i would let an expert do it. it will probally cost $100

Hope this helps!

WILL HE4T RUN WITH KICK PANEL AND BACK PANEL OFF?

The washer will run without the panels in place. As a technician it is common practice to troubleshoot with the bottom panel and/or back panel removed in order to see if certain components are working. The "F06" error is a motor speed problem. With this fault, the washer will shut down if the motor speed is not detected, or reach optimum rpms. The fault is usually caused by a failure of the Motor Control Unit (MCU) or Drive Motor. The following link explains how to troubleshoot:

If you require addtional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
