HP PSC 2355 won't feed photo paper

Whenever I try to send photo paper through my HP PSC 2355, the paper feeds to the top of the page and then "Jams." Occasionally it will print a line or two, but the lines overlap, because the feeder seems to be slipping. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem but with regular paper. Remove the back black paper guide, look inside you will see a small wide grey rubber wheel, that wheel becomes smooth over time because it is rubbing against paper, you must rub that rubber roller wheel with sand paper or a rough file to give it texture to make sure it grabs the paper. Rub it horizontally, or rather perpendicular to the paper movement.

Actually, I have used photo paper in this printer. It cannot be any thicker than 8.5 or 9 mil. Also, be sure you switch the Printer Preferences to Premium Photo Paper before printing. It's slow, but the photos print nicely.

Good Luck

Will not print Photo paper

Photo paper may be too slick for the roller to pick up. Can you "force feed" the paper through? Maybe try cleaning the roller(s) with isopropyl alcohol to make it tacky again.

I have a HP PSC 2355 all-in-one. When I try to print I get repeated paper jams. Each page jams and I cannot print.

Could be the main paper feed tire is glazed, worn out, or dried out.
Can be cleaned with a lint free cloth and simple green(alcohol dries the rubber out if used), scrub well with cloth then dry off you will find it will work well if glazed, or dried out. Of course if it is worn out the economics of the parts and labor would suggest replacement of the unit as this is not one of the more expensive units. In todays world the big box stores are selling for $38.00 per unit - hardly worth working on them when that is the cost of replacement. Good Luck.

I have a HP psc 2355 all inone printer. It says it is out of paper but there is paper in the printer. Is there anyting else I should do to make the printer work?

Usually the pick up rollers slip causing no feed and the printer then expects it. Popping up a jam , you need to clean the pick / feed rollers which are inside where the front edge of the paper goes. The 2 on the right are the most important, use a damp cloth and rub the wheel horizontally

WILL FEED PLAIN WHITE PAPER BUT WILL NOT FEED PHOTO PAPER

Follow the steps:
•1
Turn on the printer and press the Paper Feed switch until the Auto Sheet Feeder indicator light turns on.
•2
Pull up on the paper sheet feeder on the top and back of the printer and slide out the paper support.
•3
Take a stack of no more than 10 pieces of photo paper and flatten the corners, if they are curled. Curled corners may cause jams within the printer.
•4
Place the paper in the paper sheet feeder with the printable side of the paper facing up. The printable side of photo paper is the shiny or whiter side of the paper.
•5
Print your documents as needed.

Paper Cassette :

•1
Switch on the printer and press the Paper Feed switch until the Cassette indicator light turns on.
•2
Pull on the cassette on the bottom of the printer to slide it out of the printer.
•3
Flatten the corners of a stack of no more than 10 sheets of photo paper if the corners are curled. The paper may become jammed in the printer if the corners are curled.
•4
Place the stack of paper in the cassette so the paper is touching the right side and the printing side of the paper is facing down. Adjust the plastic paper guides so they touch the paper. The paper stack guides help facilitate the paper moving into the printer.
•5
Slide the cassette back into the bottom of the printer. The printer is ready for printing.
