Turn Off the computer, open the case and re-seat the Ram/s. It's also important to clean the rams' contacts with a pencil eraser. If nothing is helpful, try with a new or working Ram. Let me know the outcome.
Good Luck.

When I turn on my computer it shows 206 memory failed configuration

Try unplugging it. Remove the ram chips and reinstall them again after 5 minutes, then reboot the system. Make sure you are grounded via a ground strp so you don't fry anything with a static discharge.

How do I fix voice mail and auto attendant features lost on Nortel Norstar mics 4.1

You can restore a recent configuration backup from diskette but if you don't have a backup you will need to rebuild the configuration from scratch. You may also have a failed hard drive or a failed supercapacitor that did not retain memory when the power was cycled. These components will need to be replaced before you continue with reprogramming.

Pioneer PD-206 wont power up

Hi tfulton

Try disconnecting from the power and powering it up again to reset the unit.

If it still wont cooperate, the unit will have popped a IC protector in the power supply. Not an uncommon fault. The burnt disc you used may have pushed the tracking servos a little hard and a circuit protector has kicked it. Pop the lid off and look for a black 2 wire device about 4mm across that viewed from above has a D shape. Measure it with an ohm meter....It should read low ohms, if it does not... it has failed. It may be marked as ICPxx(from memory)

A fast fix we used for this is to grab the device and give it a 200 deg twist to short the legs together. Soemtimes(often) the body of the device will break off, just solder the legs left behind.

They have a habit of failingl with no reason, and shorting across them will not affect the operation of the unit, nor put it anything in jeopardy.

OR pull the board out... and replace the device, although I can tell you through experience, they may fail again.

Good luck, if you have any questions, just get back to
me here. :)

regards
Graeme
