I can think of three things that might be going on:

  1. The batteries in the remote have died. Just change them out and you should be good to go.
  2. You need to resync your Wii remote. To do this, first make sure your Wii is on. After that, open the slot right under the disc tray of the Wii and remove the battery cover from the controller in question. Press the orangish sync button on the Wii console and then press the sync button on the Wii remote. You may need to do this once or twice for it to work, and make sure you're close to the Wii when you're doing it as its range is limited.
  3. Your controller is broken and needs to be replaced. Hopefully this isn't the case.
Good luck!

Maybe the controllers are broken for your Wii console or the batteries are not working anymore and need to be recharge or replaced or your Wii console is broken.

When i plug either of my gamecube controllers into the 1st port on my wii, they only move side to side not front to back

Hard trying to fix game cube controllers specifically because i don't think Nintendo really sells game cube controllers anymore. But try to plug it back in and fourth. I usually really go tough and move the joystick around, works for me, you can try doing that if it doesn't work you might have to buy a new one.

A friend fetched their wii fit board but we couldn't sync it, so we left it, but now our wii is not syncing up with the wii remotes anymore, can you help me please

Re-sync your controllers to the Wii. On the front of the Wii there is a flap - lift it and there is a red button - push the button. On your controller under the battery cover there is a red button - push the red button.

MY CONTROLLERS WILL NOT WORK.

I think you need to register the wii controller to the wii because sometimes the PS3 when you buy another controller you have to register the device to the Ps3 before you can play so i think the Wii may have the same controller registeration. So if it doesn't work try using the controller you 1st got from the box because in order to use the controllers it has to be registered hope it helped.
