Question about Digital Cameras

1 Answer

When I turn the camera on, it only stays on about one second and goes back off. The batteries are good, and I tried taking them out for a few minutes and putting them back in, but it doesn't work.

Called 800 # for Sony. They are backing their product and repairing. Troubleshooting attempts did not work.

My Nikon D3100 will not turn on. Is there something wrong with the batteries/memory card? Or rather the camera body itself?

It could be either the battery or the camera.

If you have a second battery, try it. If it works with the second battery then the first battery is bad.

If you don't have a second battery, take your camera and battery to a good photo store. They should have a second battery to try. You might be able to test your battery with one of theirs. This will tell you whether the battery or the camera is bad.

It won't turn on and when I plug it in to charge the back screen just lights up and stays all white, that's all that happens. It won't turn on, take pictures, or anything.

Try and reset the camera - remove the battery, press and hold the power button for a few seconds and then re-insert the battery and turn it on.

SONY DSC-H9 WON'T STAY POWERED UP

I think that both your batteries are bad. Because the batteries have sat on a shelf not being used the batteries will only take a surface charge and not fully charge. Bum a battery from someone with a Sony that uses the same battery and see if that works.

Hi,

Most problems of this symptoms indicates either:
1. Weak battery; or
2. Internal fault (which can either be hardware or software).

Initially, pls try removing the batteries for an hour or so hopefully doing a reset and will work from thereon.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

take the batteries out, press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds, let the camera sit for a few minutes without batteries, then place new "good" batteries in it.Good luck
