Question about LG Computers & Internet
I feel the phrase "they just don't make them like they used to" really apply's here. My first LCD monitor I bought probably about 6-7 years ago when I was still in high school, and it still works to this day. I have bought 5 more since then and all of them have died within the first two years. This is commonly due to bad capacitors within the monitor, and most monitors now come with two years manufacturer warranty's because of this.
Ensure that your connections are 100% snug and test the same connection with the same cable on a different monitor. (Which it sounds like you're doing but I can't be certain) If the monitor still powers on and then powers off shortly after, my guess would be that you have some damaged capacitors. Try looking for your receipt and see if you have any warranty left on it still. Otherwise you might want to look into a new monitor, and hang on to your receipt this time around. =]
