My ipod touch goes onto the apple loading screen at the begging of being charged, but it makes a circular loading thing under the apple, which jams, and the ipod wont turn off. It also makes the sync noise...

Hello.
Try doing a hard reset. Hold the home button and the lock button down at the same time until an apple pops up in the middle of a black screen. Keep holding it past where it asks "slide to shutdown" until it comes up. If that dont work, see if you can get the iPod to show up in the iTunes and do a restore on all the settings and then resync all your music and you should be good to go! Hope this helps!

Doesnt turn on.

This same thing happened to me. I was playing fantastic contraption and my ipod screen just went black and wouldnt turn back on. When I plugged it in to a charger, it made that charging noise, but wouldnt turn on. SOLUTION: try holding in the sleep/wake(power) button, and the home button at the same time for about 15 seconds or until you see the white apple logo. That worked for me, hope you get it fixed.

Ipod doesnt turn on

The clicking noise can mean that you have a bad hard drive. Look around for local place that repairs or replaces hard drive. Ipod store charge $271 for rebuilt 60 gig. It is cheaper to buy a new 120 gb one for $250. I found a place that put new hard drive in for $150.

Ipod making a grinding noise

Hey dduenas,

There are actually a number of problems that you could be describing, but without having an actual "hands-on" diagnostic performed by an Apple-authorized technician it would be difficult to provide you with a definitive answer.

Among some of the most common reasons why any device with a hard drive would make a grinding (or clicking) noise are the possibility of loose internal components and/or a failing hard drive. The battery itself should not be making any noise, as most batteries typically contain no moving parts.

If you are still covered by the manufacturer's warranty - or by coverage provided through a third party, such as a Best Buy Performance Service Plan (PSP) - I would strongly suggest contacting Apple directly or your local repair shop for further assistance. Even if you no longer have any kind of coverage, either of these parties should be able to provide you with a diagnostic and more information on how to resolve the problem.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

My ipod nano wont do anything

Did you try resetting the iPod? If the battery were dead then when you plugged it in, you'd still see something popping up on the screen. What's possible is that your screen got disconnected from the iPod logic board or otherwise got ruined. When you try turning the iPod on can you hear any noise inside? If you toggle the hold switch does it show the orange light? If you can't hear any noise and it doesn't show the orange light, your iPod's logic board probably died. You can get a new one off eBay and replace it if you're comfortable opening your iPod. Otherwise, you can sell the broken iPod on eBay for a decent amount.
