I have a dv9000 pavilion lap top which I have just reloaded with vista home premium but it is missing the drivers for other devices and I can not get it to go online can you supply the required drivers downloade to this computer so I can transfer thaem by memory stick to the lap top

I would be happy to download the drivers (from here) and burn them to a CD but how would i get them to you? Do you have a Post Office box i could mail them to (so there'd be no privacy concern/no worries about stalkers)?

Order the recovery cd from hp ,you can call on hp toll free 800-474-6836,or go to hp website and order the CD hp.com/support.This recovery cd will have the operating system and all the other drivers .

How to check that the sound card is not loose

on laptops these days use builtin soundcards that are on the motherboard.
nothing should be loose.
there should be a chip labeled Conextant Audio , that would be the sound chip

I would try to use the System Restore feature, if you have not already. Choose a date prior to when it crashed on you and it should work.

I down loade the service pack 1 of vista ,& since then,I am not getting any audio device shown in my lap top.The speaker icon comes with a red cross.Pls [email protected]

Try re-installing the sound drivers as a first possible solution. The service pack should not have interfered with your sound.

Post make and model, maybe there is some issue with vista SP1 and sound.

Key board not working

It's a hardware issue,
Maybe RAM or hard drive..

Did you get it used? If so the password was set b4 you purchase it, and will not show up when you type,,,It stays hidden.

Your getting this screen because there is a hardware failure. Fix the problem and you wont need the BIOS password.

Press<esc> to enable startup message, This should give you more info on the problem.
