Below the lint trap is a sensor, clean it off gently as not to damage it, this will fix the problem

Dryer Dry Time Appears to Jump or Stall During Auto Dry Cycles

The operation of dryers during the Auto Dry Cycles is based on the moisture content of the clothes as they cycle over the moisture sensor. At the start of the cycle, the default estimated time is displayed depending on the cycle selected. The moisture sensor feeds information to the control based on the "wetness' of the clothes during the first 5 minutes of the cycle. The control then calculates and display a new estimated time making the time appear to "jump".

Recalculation happens again based on the reduction in the "wetness" of the clothes when the Estimated Time Remaining is between 15 to 5 minutes. The control will extend the cycle and display the Estimated Time Remaining unchanged if it "sees" no significant reduction in the wetness level of the clothes. The dryer will run longer than initially projected and give the appearance that the displayed time has "stalled".

Clean the sensor bars for any films or dirt build up to make sure it sends accurate information to the control. Level the dryer front to back and side to side to ensure the clothing will tumble properly and making good and proper contact with the moisture sensor bars. Check the dryer vent duct for any restriction to ensure a good air flow as the operation of the Auto Dry Cycles is based primarily on the air flow condition.

It is highly recommended to clean the lint filter before every load and make sure the dryer is grounded at the wall plug.

Maytag dryer se1000 runs for 15 minutes then shuts off

Clean your sensors if you have them. They might have junk on them that could be forming a moisture barrier preventing the sensors from feeling the wetness of them clothes. The dryer may think them clothes is dry because it cannot sense wetness.

GE Profile dryer (DPSB620GCIWW) shuts after after 2 minutes, showing the clean lint filter light. Lint filter is clean Front panel removed, and airflow passage has been cleaned The vent hose has been...

Get some windex and clean the buildup off the sensors strips so that dampness can be detected by them and retry.
You can remove the smal sensor board mounted near the timer and clean corrosion off the contacts then plug it back in and retry if my first suggestion of cleaning the sensor strips don't work. In electronic sensing the wet clothes rub against the sensors and discharge a capacitor on that board. As long as the capacitor is discharged the motor will not get any power from the board. When no more wet is detected the board will power up the timer and move it on over to cooldown and end of cycle.

I have a ge profile dryer model dpsb513eboww and the sensor dry doesn't work properly. It runs 3 minutes then shuts off. The clothes are still wet. All else works fine.

You should inside the driver and on the front or back wall will be the sensor: two metal bars that send an electric current through the clothing. When the dryer detects more current goes through, it knows the clothes are still wet and keep running. If the sensor bars are broken, disconnected, or dirty, it will read no current and think you put clothes in there that were already dry. Make sure those contacts are nice and clean. Failing that, you'll need to test the sensor circuit for voltage to see what the problem is.

Kenmore Gas Dryer Gets Hot, Shuts Off Early in Cycle

Sounds like a faulty high limit or cycling thermostat. The thermostat tells the dryer to heat until the interior of the dryer reaches a certain temp. It should be mounted on the exhause duct inside the back of the dryer. It should look something like the one in the picture:

Hope this helped and best wishes.

Gas dryer continues to run on the Auto cycle.

try to get the manual for the dryer you got and locate the moisture sensor if this sensor is bad what happen is that the automatic timer thinks that the clothes still wet and continues to dry once the sensor detects no moisture then it shut off the dryer normally is located behind the dryer on the exit line of the air duct and tested for conductivity and see if is good or not

My hotpoint vtd00 dryer seems to have stopped drying

Have you cleaned the exhaust ducting? The duct that runs from inside to outside. Try that first. Sounds like your exhaust line is blocked. Also with the filter out get a flash light and look down the venting if alot of lint vaccum out. NOTE: Unplug the unit, wheather gas or electric.....and if it is a gas shut off the gas to the dryer before moving just in case something gets loose while moving. Hope this helps.
