How do I resolve ink system failure 0xc18a0306?


When powered up press the ink button. This should cause the print head to move to the middle the printer and then back. If it parks properly then everything should be fine. However, if it stops against an ink cartridge it's indicating a problem (no ink/ faulty cartridge). So replace it and repeat the process x3 (ie.for the 3 other cartridges). Once complete the printer should be OK. All this should be covered in the HP user manual.

this is the service error for this you have to reset ink counter, it's available on your manual.
or you can use utility like ip tools available free on net

I have found a solution for your problem. (1) With the printer turned on, unplug it (2)Open the top and bring the ink cartridge holder to the middle (3)Raise the gray bar and remove the print head assembly with the cartridges in it (4) Lower the gray bar with the head missing and close the top with the head out (5) Restore the power,wait til the printer wakes up (6) It will tell you to put in the cartridges (7) Restore the print head, close the top and the printer should resume working..... ;)

Hi,
5 time orange flash indicate Cartridge Error or Print Head Error.
1) Reseat the Print Head
  • Confirm that the printer is powered on.
  • Open the paper output tray and top cover. Gently open the paper output tray while holding it.
  • After confirming that the print head holder has moved to the center, open the inner cover.
  • Remove all ink tanks.
  • Raise the print head lock lever and remove the print head.
  • Re-seat the print head into the print head holder and lower the print head lock lever until a click is heard.
  • Insert the appropriate ink tank into the slot at the right end and push down on the PUSH mark on top of the ink tank until a click is heard. Install the other ink tanks in the same manner.
  • Close the inner cover and top cover. Check that each ink tank is installed in the correct position.
2) Reseat the Printer
  • Turn the printer off with the Power button.
  • Disconnect the data cable from the printer
  • Unplug the printer's power cord for approx. 10 minutes, and then plug it back in.
  • Turn the printer back on.

Else either your device require service or print head may need to replace.

My Epsom Stylus C45 was running low on black ink. The second button on top was blinking red because I tried to print. So, I opened the cover and pressed the second button to get the cartridge out, and...


Yes you can still move the inks first put the power off on and then you go to look very close to where the cartridges are and at the bottom of the inks you see a little leaver you can pull this up and at same time slide the ink cartridges to the middle so you then can change them but do the careful.

  1. Check that the printer is powered on and open the front cover.

  2. Wait until the print head moves to the center.

  3. Check if the ink tanks are installed properly.

  4. When installing the ink tanks, push the top of the ink tank until a click sound is made.

    Note: If the ink tanks are not installed properly, paper may not be fed properly, or ink may not be ejected.

Colour prints coming out like draft copies - i.e. faded


Hello sir; It seem like you need to clean ink cell and print head, open top part let the cartridge move to the middle and the UNPLUG power cord you can easily to reach the ink cell to clean it.

Cannot tell which inkjet color cartridge needs changing


Disregard the monitor information and rely on the printer.

On the left panel of the printer are your indicator lights and buttons. Push the button immediately to the left of the 'ink drop' light [looks like a little tear drop]. Open the cover and the printhead assembly will move to the left and stop. Look very closely and find that little 'ink drop' imprinted into the plastic in the very middle of the printer where the printhead assembly stopped. That 'ink drop' will line up wih the ink cartridge that needs replacing. Push that button on the left again and the printhead assembly will either return to the 'replace' position, or move to the next ink cartridge that needs replacing. Keep pushing that button just once at a time until the printhead assembly identifies all cartridges that need replacing and moves into the 'replace' position. This 'replace' position will be on the right side of the printer where the opening occurs that allows the top cover of the printhead assembly to open.

Change the appropriate cartridges and you should be good to go.

Can't get the ink cartridge out of my Epsonstylus C40UX


Normally hold the cartridge button for about 3 seconds the cartridge carriage will move and then open the door and remove the cartridges. If is does not work the other way is send a print job to the printer wait until the printer starts printing then remove the power cord. Once you have done this open the cover and you will be able to move the print cartridge manually.

Then you will be able to remove the cartridges. If the carriage cannot move and the carriage is stuck and this is the cause of you query then you will have to remove the complete top cove there should be four screws holding this down. Once removed remove the cartridge that is causing the blockage.
