  • Turn off the computer and unhook the cables and connectors. Place the computer on a flat work surface and open the access side of the case.

Use the flashlight to locate the white tag with the bar code. It will be somewhere near the memory slots or the PCI white slots on the motherboard.

  • 3

Record the alphanumeric value from the bar code sticker. The part number will be the second value. For example, the number on the sticker for a Dell Dimension 2400 is CN-OG1548-70821-36C-E01D. The part number is the second set of numbers, or OG1548. Use this number to find compatible replacement or upgrade parts.

  • If the system still runs install this: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

This will tell what brand and number your mainboard has.

    Hope this will help you.

I don't know what motherboard it is that i have to download the users manual can you please.....please help me

Turn off the PC. Remove the side panel from the case. Get a flashlight and inspect the mother board. You're looking for a number to identify the type of mother board. ASUS mother boards usually place this number just to the left of the memory slots. It's usually 5 or 6 digit long and made up of both letters and numbers. One of my computers with a ASUS mother board is a P5LD2. Once you know this number you can go to http://support.asus.com/ and download updated drivers for *********** board. You may need to identify what type of socket *********** has. If you have a fairly recent Intel microprocessor you probably have a socket 775 mother board. If it's an AMD microprocessor it's probably a SocketAM2 or AM3. You might have to do some searching if these choices don't work. I hope this advice helps you out.

    Mother board driver problem...

You will need to open the computer case and look for the model number on the motherboard. Usually it will be in bigger font than other text. When you find it, you will need to search google for that model number and get the drivers from the manufacturer website and install them.

    Lost mother board drivers

When you first load the PC get ready to press the Pause key. As soon as you get display press the pause key. You should be able to see the Name & model number of your board. Write that down & post that information here. Or is the name "Mercury" & the model " PVCLE266"? This is listed on you're post above the statement " Lost mother board drivers"? If you are able to get into you're bios's main menu. Some bios's list the model number under system information.
