We plugged in the internal battery and plugged in the unit to the wall outlet. We receive an ERR message on the display. We double checked the battery connection and it is red to red and black to black. What other cause would generate the ERR message?

Arlec Digital Time Switch PC787 LCD display li at remains blank

If the LCD display of your Arlec Digital Time Switch PC787 remains blank even though the red LED confirms that the device is powered on, there could be a few possible causes:
  1. Battery issue: If the device is battery-powered, check to ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly and still have enough power. If the batteries are low, replace them with fresh ones.
  2. Power failure: Check to ensure that the device is plugged into a working power outlet and receiving adequate power. Try plugging the device into a different power outlet to see if the problem is with the outlet.
  3. Display failure: If the device is receiving power but still remains blank, the LCD display may have failed. This issue would require a replacement of the display.
  4. Firmware issue: The device's firmware may have become corrupted. It can happen if there is a power failure while the device is in operation or if it has been exposed to a power surge. Try to reset the device by unplugging it and plugging it back in after a minute.
  5. Internal component failure: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, the problem may be with an internal component of the device, such as a circuit board or a processor. It would require repair by a professional technician.

After charging battery, the phone dial reads, out of range,or no pwr at base

Double check that the power cable is _fully_ plugged into the phone base, then check to see that power cable is fully plugged into wall outlet; and/or fully plugged into phone wall outlet. (Some base units have no power adapter and get their power from the phone outlet on the wall). In short, double check _all_ wired connections. Do not assume they are fully plugged in.

pow5 - your receiver has an internal problem, most likely with power supply unit. As soon as macroprocessor detect the power problem it shuts down the receiver. Check the power supply at first.

My breaker blew and this receiver was plugged in to that particular AC outlet. Does this receiver have some kind of Power Supply protection?

Is that outlet is the only circuit on that breaker?

The receiver may not have exceeded its own internal parameters to blow the fuse or enter protection but it (and whatever else is drawing power from its convenience outlets) may have exceeded the rating for your wall breaker.

There is a modest limit on how much extra current-drawing equipment can hang onto the back of this unit. It's probably printed near the outlet(s). Probably 100 watts max.

In general, nothing heavy duty like heaters, amps, vacuum cleaners, TV's should not be plugged into the receiver.

DVR won't turn on. TV screen is black

This can be a variety of different things, ensure television is powered on, what color light do you see on the front of your DISH Network 311 receiver? The green light is the one you should be seeing if the receiver is in fact powered on. If the light is not on even after pressing the power button on both the remote & the receiver, then I would recommend checking the source from which the receiver is plugged in, is it plugged directly into a electrical outlet on your wall, or is it plugged into a power strip? If wall outlet, perhaps try a different outlet and see if that makes a difference, if it's plugged into a power strip or surge protector unplug from wall and unplug receiver from strip for 30 seconds and reconnect checking to see if issue has been resolved. While checking these things, I would also recommend double checking to ensure nothing may have become disconnected and that all cables are connected from the back of your receiver to the back of your tv and to the wall and they are hand tight. I hope this helps, if the issue is still not resolved please feel free to contact me directly or you can call our technical support team for further assistance @ 1-800-333-3474. 925 service fuser error

A 925 Fuser Error indicates that the wrong fuser lamp or the incorrect fuser assembly is installed.
  1. If this error appears shortly after the fuser unit in the printer is replaced, put the old fuser unit back in.
If the error message goes away with the old fuser unit, please check that the new fuser unit is the correct one for this printer model.
  2. If the printer has not recently had its fuser replaced, plug the printer directly into a wall outlet. Surge protectors and power strips can sometimes regulate the voltage to a fault for the printer. If the printer is already on a wall outlet, plugging the printer into a different outlet may solve the problem. Keep in mind that there is no need to have the printer connected to a computer during testing for a fuser error as any pages to test the functionality of the printer can be processed internally.
  3. If you have tried the printer on other wall outlets and the 925 Fuser Error still appears, the printer will require service to clear the message.

My nuvi 260 will not display anything . It turns on okay with the Garmin introduction and then screen goes blank

Sounds like a battery problem. You may have to send to Garmin for replacement of the battery as it's not user fixable. I also highly suggest using a Garmin approved charger/ car charger if you don't have that!!
Or understand this:

  1. Use the provided vehicle power cable that came with your GPS unit. The unit will charge while powered on and using the device as well as when the GPS unit is powered off and plugged into a running vehicle. About 3 hrs for a full charge. If the unit will not charge in the vehicle, check the fuse in the power cable for the unit and the power outlet in the vehicle.
  2. Use an AC power adaptor. Some units come with this power cable to plug the GPS unit into a wall outlet allowing the GPS unit to take a charge. For units that do not come with this cable, one can be purchased from Garmin's online store.
  3. For most units, the final way of charging the battery is to plug the GPS into a powered on computer with a USB cable2. This method of charging will be a trickle charge and it may take longer (like a full day) than the other two options, however it will still charge the battery. A USB cable is provided with a few GPS models. For those that don't come with this cable, one can either be ordered from the online store or you can use a standard USB to mini-USB cable that fits the unit and plugs into your computer.
