Try a hard reset by letting the ipod drain the full charge and then start the unit.

this will reset the codes.

How do you ulock screen on ipod nano

If you lean "unlock" because you just can't use the dial, just flip the switch on the bottom of the Ipod.

If your Ipod has locked up and you can't do anything with it, then you can reset it. Don't worry - it doesn't erase your music. Press the MENU and the middle button at the same time, and hold them until you see the Apple logo. It may take a try or two, but you'll get good at it.

My ipods locked and i 4 got the code and cant get on to itunes !!!!

Thanks to everymac.com i found your answer, i was interested in what would happen.

Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. If you can't unlock iPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod. If you want to change the primary computer that your iPod is associated with, do this: 1. Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data. 2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer. 3. Open iTunes and synchronize.

just leave it turned ON and let the battery drain itself until the unit dies, once the battery is drained, leave it off for at least overnight, then the next day, charge it, and your password and other settings will be gone but your songs will still be there.

My sister put a lock on my ipod and now forgot the code how do i unlock it

Okay thats easy... for an ipod touch just put it in in DFU mode, so you hold down the menu and off button for 10 seconds. then you want to let go of the off button and continue to hold onto the menu button for about another 10 seconds.. they plug it into your computer and iTunes will say they found an ipod and that you need to restore it.. Just restore it and reload all of your stuff from iTunes.

I think you fried it. put it under a lamp for a while (not too close to the lamp) to try and dry it out. if that doesnt work, something shorted out inside, and you can repair it or get a nice shiny new one
