RCA universal remote codes are available here: http://rcaaudiovideo.com/remotecodefinder/ . Enter the model number of the remote and then VCR in the drop down menus. Then find your brand in the list.

I hope this helps.

I have apex dt-250a digital converter box and I lost the remote. Purchased RCA universal remote and I have not a clue what codes I need or how to enter them. Can you help?

I programmed a Radio Shack 5-in-one remote to my Apex DT-250. Select cabel/satelite, hold p until the light blinks twice, then enter the code 0749. It works! If your universal remote uses a three digit code, use 749. If it uses a five digit code, use 00749. I HAVE A PROBLEM THOUGH... I don't know how to scan for channels! It says "please do auto channel search", but how do I do that? Please, if anyone has this answer, let me know. I finally programmed the universal remote, but it's basically useless without being able to do an auto channel search.
