Did you try using a different USB port.
If there is any short of the cable then on PC there should be a massage like "Power Surge of USB port", if you don't receive this massage then probably something wrong inside the speaker.

Try it on a different USB port.

Try it on a different Desktop computer,

Use the built in USB ports instead of USB hubs/extenders

Make sure the cord is intact with speaker.

If issue still persists then mostly its due to short circuit/power failure.

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

no you dont need to download anything on your mac computer.

there are two ports in mac computer one is for mic and one is for your speakers. make sure your are connecting to the right port.

and please check/change the powerpoint of your speakers.

X-530 to a laptop?

I have these same speakers set up on my Laptop. The solution I came to was to go to RadioShack and buy a 3 way Y splitter for headphones. RadioShack is the only maker of these that I could find but once I hooked the 3 wires into this it works just fine.

Logitech Speaker Help

Unfortunately, Logitech doesn't sell the wired remote controller separately. And that seems to be infamous for going out.
What worked for me (with no sound and no blue light on the remote connector) was to plug a set of earphones into the earphone port. As soon as I did that, the blue light came on and the sound was restored, even after removing the earphones. Someone else said both speakers worked properly while they had the earphones in, but not otherwise.

Connect DVD Player to logitech X 540 Surround System

Bad connection on that one speaker, if you have tested the system with other equipment and it works thn you MUST have a bad connection INSIDE you DVD player. If your DVD had a whole channel out on your output amplifier I beleive then 2 speakers would not work so more than likely you have a bad solder joint inside system for DVD output
