Did you try using a different USB port.
If there is any short of the cable then on PC there should be a massage like "Power Surge of USB port", if you don't receive this massage then probably something wrong inside the speaker.

Try it on a different USB port.
Try it on a different Desktop computer,
Use the built in USB ports instead of USB hubs/extenders
Make sure the cord is intact with speaker.
If issue still persists then mostly its due to short circuit/power failure.
