You can just connect it to the USB port? What exactly is the issue you are facing?

Hi,

Here is the Intel page that has all kinds of links for this board:

DG965RY Support

Look for the on ethat says Board Component Diagram.

Thanks for using Fixya.

PS. You might want to save that page to your favorites.

Also keep in mind if you go to the Intel home page, there is a link that will detect and update all your drivers automatically.

Hi, I have an Intel DG31PR mobo with nVidia 460GTX Intel Core 2 Duo 3GB RAM DDR2 Was working fine. Changed casing today and 1. no display shown 2. mobo gives 4 beeps and reboots, goes back to...

Points to a mobo problem.
However, it could be a short, caused by an unseen standoff pillar making contact with the board.
I would first of all, remove the board, place it on an A.S surface and connect it to a monitor, with 1 stick of ram, No hard drive and no CD rom attached. Use a makeshift power switch to trigger the power on the Fpanel header, or carefully touch the Power pins with a screwdriver to boot it.

If that fails to work, check the board for burns, blowing capacitors and damage, especially underneath

If it does work, replace each component in turn, examine the case to see you are not placing the board on a standoff pillar that will not be taking a screw

DG965RY mother board mic is not working

HI,
there may be problem in mic hardware. Check it on some other system. It there is no problem in hardware then it should work fine there.

Else
if there is problem in driver of mic/sound card then reinstall it. Find latest one from net. and use it.

Else
if there is problem in settings of mic. Then see volume/sound card properties/ sound card software.
there is option to test mic and also to boost it.
Boosting and noise reduction options help enhancing performance of mic.

thank you,

Nothing happens when I press the power button (good PSU)

You've tested the PSU for volts, although you didn't mention the +12v, the critical thing with all PSU's though is Amps, if there is insufficient amps the CPU will not initiate properly, modern CPU's mobo north and south bridge chips Graphics chips etc are power hungry, volts are one thing amps are everything. Try and borrow a friends PSU to test, then buy a good one if it works with at least 14 amps on the +12v rail, the higher the better.

WHERE TO CONNECT CARD READER ON MOBO

If you are asking about external card reader it is usually connects to USB, for the built-in's it connects to internal USB on motherboard. According to your motherboard's picture

internal card-reader connects to the one of these salad green plugs on the right bottom. Each pin has the meaning written on it. Be careful not to mismatch. Here's the standard diagram http://www.808.dk/pics/k7s5a_usb1.gif

DG965RY board can not reboot with 'restart' button on windows Xp

Run with only two RAMS each in one of the DIMM slots. Three RAMS may not work unless supported by mobo or being exactly identical in their specs..

No beeps on boot up with asrock mobo? help plz

While booting BOIS goes for POST check for detecting the all the hardware .

Disconnect all the connection to DVD, HDD, FDD from MOBO.
Rmove all RAM and start the ssytem from testing RAM Serviceability. If you listened a long intermittent beep place a single pices of RAM in MOBO ( repeat test with other RAM also).

Other wise your video card is unserviceable, if you have any addon plugins like NVIDA graphics card you can check

Try another power supply. I believe you would have this problem if your 4-pin connector from the power supply is not connected to the board. Of cause, you might have a defective board.

I assume you have tried with only one stick of ram individually at a time if you are using two to check it's not the ram as one faulty can cause the system to stop. Also assuming you bought the ram from the same place and is compatible with the board. Sometimes people also forget that the processor in some cases has to be powered by the 4 pin plug from the PSU and not just from the ZIF socket that older processors use to power up, so double check the manual. The other main common cause of the this problem is when you are putting together all the hardware onto the board, if you don't protect it underneath it may have overflexed the board and shorted or damaged the circuitry or the bios chip. That's not to say that the motherboard was'nt faulty in the first place.
