Hi,

Here are some basic steps that will help you fixing the problem.

I'm assuming that your unit is dead set without an standby LED light and your outlet is live.1.Power cord - check the cord it might be opened (no continuity). This is due to frequent bending, pulling. 2. Power switch - check for dry joints, open contact. 3.Check the internal fuse- sometimes the fuse fail because of the power surge, replacing with new one will cure the problem, If this is the case I would advice you to use surge protector/AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator). However if the fuse blew again this is an indication that you have a shorted parts in the power supply, you may visit the linkhttp://www.fixya.com/support/r8053361-fuse_keeps_blowing for more info. If no reaction and still the unit didn't power up then you have an open parts on the power supply.

4.If you see that the fuse is intact , don't attempt to touch anything because there some fatalcomponents stored electricity enough to hurt you with a simple mistake only. I would advice you to look for a professional to troubleshoot the power supply. If you want to repair it yourself make sure that you have necessary tools and test instrument. First check bad solder joints(re-solder all cold solder), leaky electrolytic capacitor(sometimes it has bulged at the top but not all, you better have a capacitor checker), open/shorted regulator transistor/IC(mounted in heat sink), open fusible resistor (caused by shorted regulator Transistor/IC), shorted zener diode.

Also check if your unit is under warranty before opening the back panel, it will void the warranty. Avail it because the manufacturer of your unit will fix it for free or a little charge only.

Hope I helped you.

Have a nice day!

Thanks for using fixya.

Ford v10 6.8 liter engine on f53 chassis stalls ( complete power shut down ) only when it is raining. Has happened 5 times

These are hard to solve. I wonder how long the power stayed off each time. Did the diagnostic check light record a trouble code? I think a weed sprayer loaded with water could wet the problem area if you take enough time to be selective. Also you may be confusing readers because I am wondering if the entire chassis went dead or only the engine.

For the engine there are different things to fail I would make suggestions about crankshaft sensors or fuel pump relays.

Car has no speedometer/tachometer, no power to the radio. Looking to get some aswers on what to look for.

You have lost the ground connection to your dashboard. Find a new chassis ground point, and try supplying ground directly to the ground rail under the dashboard. This will likely fix the problem.

What if lights come on **** it appears battery is dead?

Check fuses, check battery leads, make sure it has an earth strap from chassis to engine block and battery neg to chassis, check contacts inside key barrel by bypassing at harness, check starter motor and relay, replace/charge battery.

Check the frequency at the base of the horizontal output transistor. It should be in betwen 15.5 to 15.7 KHz. If you want more details about service help, try any service help sites. There are so many can be at internet.

Will not start. Everything dead. No power.

Did you connect the jumper cables correctly? If you reversed the cables you burned out a lot of stuff. Take your battery out and have it fully recharged and tested. If it passes the tests, consider asking about a master link for the power cable
You have a Starter Interlock which depends on the gearshift being in the correct position to line up the circuit for the starter. Some even require your foot to be on the Brake pedal to crank the engine. Check if the Brake light still comes on when the pedal is pressed. This is something you will need to check after the chassis has power.

You need to restore the power to the chassis first before worrying about the Starter interlock. The chassis receives power through the Master power link. You can get a complete wiring diagram by going to Autozone.com and registering your car for FREE. Then toggle down the features and activate the Wiring or Diagrams section. You can get a fuse panel layout and the complete chassis layout online.

If you do not have a printer, go to a Library and use their stuff to Download and print it.

Also, It may be to your advantage to check with your insurance company about coverage for burnt wiring. See what you situation is after messing with the battery and if it arcs severely when you try to reconnect it, call the Insurance company. You may end up with a Loaner car and complete repair, depending on your coverage.

Monitor wont recieve signal from computer aspire m3641

Your Acer Aspire computer system is not POSTing, or passing the Power On Self Test.

Claim warranty support before trying the following as opening the chassis in some cases voids current warranty.

Open the side panel of the computer chassis and remove the RAM modules. Clean the gold fingered connectors of the RAM modules with tissue paper. Once completed clean the actual RAM slots/dimms on the mainboard. Carefully use a vacuum cleaner.

Reinstall the RAM modules in the correct orientation. Power on the computer system.

I HAVE A KP-65WV700 SONY PROJECTOR. WHEN I TURN IT ON, I SEE THE IMAGE BUT AFTER 1 OR 2 MINUTES THE SCREEN GETS COMPLETELY RED.

I had a similar problem. I had a 52" RCArear projection tv. It would do this when I initially turned on the television, but then after a few "on/off, on/off, on/off" cycles it would stay on. Eventually it started doing it more; until finally there was a spark and that was it. The tv was dead. The bloggers called it "the blinking green light of death" (because of green light on the panel). The power board is going out.ALSO holding down the Input and Menu buttons afterward will give you some diagnostic information via 2 sets of blinking indicator lights.

You may very well have issues with capacitors on this set being that it is or very similar to the V26 chassis. Since I have spare test lamps laying around, I would normally try that first. If the lamp still would not stay lit, I would then suspect the electrical chassis (capacitors). When I suspect the chassis, I can usually verify it by pulling it out and partially disassemble it and find blown capacitors

Bike is completely dead

Could be the relay switches such as the flasher relay etc. Wiring could also be the problem. A shorted positive wire on the chassis (negative) can have a negative effect on all the other circuits.

What is the chassis number on that set. We have a complete Chassis that we are parting out HDTV magnavox with the DPTV 305 through 345 which should be the same chassis as your set. We sell used parts this is a working tv with a cracked blue tube were selling it as a complete chassis or individual boards on our site. Let me know if you may be interested. Chirping comes from the deflection circuits possibly flyback related.
