Can probably delete the DLL or scan for viruses and malware...that's that it sounds like. Did a Google search for the .dll file and got no results.

Every half an hour, an annoying error popup comes up on my laptop screen

So, that error is coming up because a .dll is missing where it should be. You should go to Roaming by going to the Start Menu and typing in '%appdata%' with the percentage signs. Then click on the 'Roaming' folder. After that, find the folder named 'OpenCandy' and open it. Then if there is an uninstaller in there open it and uninstall OpenCandy. The uninstallers are usually at the bottom of the page. They are usually called 'uninst' for short. If you still want OpenCandy then just reinstall it the same way you did if you installed it in the first place. Hope this helps.

Error messages on desktop

You have a virus, First uninstall any program you do not recognize, then install ccleaner and run it at default settings to remove any junk.

Then in ccleaner go to the tools tab, and then startup.
Look for the newnext entry, and remove it.

The start up section is what calls the dll in question, removing it from the start up should get rid of the error.

You really should get an I.T. professional to give it a once over to make sure it is good to go.

Run Advanced System Care. It is free and will sort out the registry errors.

I have this error message that pops up when I start my computer "There was a problem starting c:\users\focusconstruction\appdata\roaming\qufvc.dll the specified module could not be found

Go to Search and type MSConfig. At the startup tab uncheck anything relating back to that application. Not to worry if you are not sure. You can uncheck till you find it, or all.

The specified module could not be found. C:\users\guest~1\appdata\local\temp\wvspn.dll How do I fix this?

Did you have a virus by any chance? Because that is under a local temp directory that means it was either part of a install program or a virus. I did a quick look for the dll but could not identify what it belongs to. If it is a legitimate program then you just need to reinstall or copy the dll to that location. If it was from a virus or perhaps a installed program then you would have to edit the registry to get rid of the error.

I'm not 100% sure if deleting and then recreating the guest account would help here but that is safe to do if there is no docs etc to loose.

C:\users\guest~1\appdata\local\temp\wvspn.dll The specified module could not be found? What does this mean?

That a virus infection hasn't been properly cleaned. Run a system cleaner like - the free one.

Upgrade for settlers downloads but won't run

I had this issue as well. Download the patch directly from the website, and run it locally. Afterwards the updater won't find a newer patch, and goes directly to the game. I don't know whether this will break again once a new patch is released, but you should be able to manually install it again at that time. Patches can be found at under support --> patches.

This link may take you directly to the right place.
