Do not use the AC adapter included with the Kodak EasyShare camera dock or printer dock to power your camera.
What model Kodak 8.0 megapixel camera? The M1063 is a 10 megapixel model.
Some Kodak cameras can charge the battery when you connect the camera to a power source. Some Kodak cameras come with a separate battery charger. Some Kodak cameras use disposable batteries. Without knowing the model of your camera I can't tell you how to charge your camera.
When you want to charge the camera, plug it in and also open the battery door. Don't know why that works, don't know why Kodak doesn't tell customers in the manual to do that, but it does work. Have the battery door open also while charging.
Kodak sells three different package versions of their cameras. You can purchase one of their cameras with an adapter but no dock, with adapter and dock, or with adapter and printer dock. The dock and printer dock are also available on line (try eBay) as accessories. The dock is an extremely handy accessory, allowing automatic charging and computer connection. The printer dock though, at least in my experience, is a cumbersome and unreliable method of obtaining low-quality photos.
This problem is frequently due to either weak/defective batteries or corroded battery terminals inside the
camera. Make sure that you have fresh/fully charged batteries in the camera. If the problem persists, remove the batteries and wipe the terminals with a soft cloth
(heavy corrosion may require a fine wire brush, steel wool, or
sandpaper). Remove any residue left in the camera by the cleaning.
Clean the terminals on the batteries in the same manner, and then
replace them in the camera. This cures most problems, but if it
doesn't work for you, check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:
You will need a USB cable to link your camera to your computer. You can go to any camera or computer store nearby and take along your camera, so that you could buy a usb cable.
You could also order it on line, just google "USB cable for Kodak Easyshare M1063 camera".
I have the same camera.
But when your camera is flashing the green light, that means it's transferring pics.
If the light is just green on the camera, that means that it's charging i think.
But i don't know how to tell when my camera is through charging is my problem.
Take it back to the store get your money back and then go out and get a real camera. The m853 is a piece of junk. I had the same / similar problems and Kodak is clueless about the problem.
