Question about GE 7-5290 Clock Radio

Open Question

I have a GE model 7-5290 kitchen radio. The 10 memory locations for setting channels are full, and I need to overwrite them with new channels. The directions say "You can overwrite preset station numbers by pressing RECALL to select the number and then press SET to confirm selection". This makes no sense, as these steps do not work. Do you know how to change preset channels?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Setting Time

Unplug all power (battery too) and wait a few minutes. Plug in power and 12:00 will start to flash. Press "set" and then release it. Now press any of the two buttons to the right of "set". One will increase time the other will decrease time. Hold the button down and time changes faster. Do not press any button when you have obtained the correct time for at least a minute or so.

Sorry, the above link is bad. Here is the correct link. You will need Abobe Acrobat Reader, as it is a .pdf file. You will also have to use the magnifier feature to view the fine print.

Oven on lock but door open and wont shut to use

Hi,

Sounds like the self cleaning latch might be in the locked position. The latch may have gone bad. I've seen this hapen on lots of GE models. You didn't post the full model number but it looks like RepairClinic may be out of stock.
Try Appliance Parts Pros. Be sure to search with the full model number. It should be located on the front leg just open the bottom drawer.

Mother board diagram ge cb radio

If the radio is blowing fuses then you are correct in that the protection diode may be burnt. the diode should be black and it should be located near the DC power connector. You should be able to replace it with a 1N4007 Diode.

Came home to find HDD full and camera recording stopped with monitor saying No Signal. Checked and HDD is formatted though overwrite doesn't seem to be working yet the box for it is ticked. All cameras...

Adjust your settings to continue recording when the hard drive gets full. If 'Overwrite when full' is enabled, the system should start overwriting the oldest data when new data is recorded. Note that these are two different settings: 1) Continue recording (or do not stop recording) when disk is full and 2) Overwrite when full is enabled.

Hope this helps.

Need user manual

Hi David,

I take it that you require a user munual for your GE 3-5908 CB Radio.

If this is correct, then try this: join yahoo group Specific to your radio Make/Model, and apart from lots of useful info you may be able to download manuals, diagrams and such for your radio if available, and all this is free.

Give it a try and I hope you get the info you require.

Cheers,
Peter

How to set memory

Here is a specific example. To store
BBC's evening frequency to North America, 5975 kilohertz, into
memory 32, do the following:
1. Press 5975
2. Immediately press the FREQU./METER button
3. Press 3 2
4. Immediately press the STORE button. If the display
flashes, it means that a frequency is already stored into
this memory. To overwrite it, immediately press STORE
again. If you do not want to overwrite it, start over and
use a different memory.
In case you need further settings here is the link for the user manual.

I need instructions on how to program frequencies into 10 band coverage bc60xlt

There are two versions of the BC60XLT. The BC60XLT (two digit display) and the BC60XLT-1 (full display). Both of these cover 10 bands, but the two digit display model has 10 channels where the full display version has 30 channels.

The owners manual for each is listed below:

If you need additional help, send a reply with what assistance you need. Good luck!

How do you clear all channels so i can put the channels that i want in it

There is no need to clear the scanner before reprogramming. When you enter a new frequency it will automatically overwrite the old frequency. To clear unwanted frequencies you can program "0.0" into any channel to clear it, or simply use the LOCKOUT feature to prevent the scanner from stopping on a channel.

How do i reprogram model ge 2-9267a

pull out the plastic tab that holds the piece of paper with the names of the people you speed dial. the instructions are under there.  pick up handset - ignore dial tone or dial tone going away - press "memory store" button - dial the number - press one of the eight buttons for location - hang up phone. that's it - your new number overwrites any old number that was in there. (then write the name of person on the piece of paper.)
